Well, my harvest of birdies and eagles was not as rich as I expected as I finished only 2 under par on this pretty, but tough challenging course. With mountains as a backdrop, this course plays well but tough pin placements and bunkers near the fringe of some tricky greens will make you pay dearly for your errant shots and bad putts. The par-4 1st hole is nice, especially near the green with a couple of beautiful houses, while the dogleg par-5 2nd hole is pretty too with the lake on the right side. On the par-3 3rd hole, you will have to really choose the right club if you don't want to end up in the water, the big bunker... or over the green ! After playing the nice dogleg par-4 4th hole with its meandering creek, the view of the green of the par-3 5th will surprise you with a lot of bare land behind (well, I guess now it's no longer a surprise...!). You will definitely need to click on the "find the flag" option on the par-4 6th hole as the fairway is very hard to see over the mound. As for the dogleg par-4 9th, it is very tough to reach the green on your second shot and the green is very, very tricky. (By the way, after your first shot, take a look on the left at the nice wooden water mill...). The back 9 has some nice and tough holes too. I like the par-4 14th with its bottleneck fairway and the slanted fairway and tough approach shot of the par-4 15th hole. The par-4 17th is very tough indeed as the tiny green is guarded by bunkers on the left and a pond on the right. Yet, with a lot of luck and a perfect shot, you can reach the green... As for the par-5 18th, it is gorgeous with its tree-lined fairway and tough approach shot to the green and the clubhouse. Alternating with tree-lined fairways and bare land, this course is very original and, despite a couple of very slopey greens, ranks as one tough challenging course to play and... keep ! Thank you willie for sharing it with us...

What threw me off, is there is a Gold Course and a Silver Course and I see you started with the Silver course.. I still should have checked it out better before making comments:)

Yes, there is a Real course called Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove Il. But that is where the resemblance stops. I just think that if your going to call this a Real course, it should at least look somewhat like the Real one. IE: bunkers don't seem to be even close to what I see on the website, and none of the layouts look like what I have seen either. I just think the layout should be as close to the Real course as possible, or I would call it Fantasy..
