A nice golf course, where all you have to worry about is hitting your shots without being distracted by the scenery... This par 72 has no breathtaking views but it plays very smoothly and it will test your accuracy with plenty of narrow fairways and a couple of branches near some of the greens to watch for. As mentioned in the general info, you might feel a little bit claustrophobic on some holes, starting with the straight par-4 1st, with a very narrow tree-lined fairway. After the right dogleg par-5 3rd hole and its downhill slope to the green, two of my favorite holes are par-3s : the 5th, with a tee shot over a small pond in front of the green, and the 7th hole, with its wide-open view (with less trees around) and a big pond in front (and to the left) of the wider green. I also like the par-5 8th hole, with a fairway getting narrower as you get closer to the slightly-elevated green. The back 9 starts in the same way as the front 9, with a very narrow fairway on the par-4 10th hole, and a green, slightly to the right. Water comes into play again on the dogleg par-4 11th hole, with a big pond on the right side not far from the green, slightly to the left, and is followed by another nice par-3, the 12th hole, with the flag very close to the pond on the right side, not to mention a few fans very close... to the edge of the water ! The left dogleg par-5 13th hole is pretty too, with a rollercoaster fairway and a few bunkers guarding the green, just like the dogleg par-5 15th, slightly to the right, with a small lake across the fairway, not far from the green tough to reach on your second shot ! The last par-3 16th hole, again, has a small pond in front of the green (and to the left) and can be tricky with its little slope, so you better hit your tee shot to the right to avoid getting wet... Finally, you will finish your round with the long (more than 500 yards) right dogleg par-4 18th hole, quite nice with its small lake in front of the green, just in time before heading for the clubhouse behind. Well designed, Yonkers Country Club brings you back to the basics and, thanks to PCDurum, will show you that you don't need to have fancy surroundings to enjoy a nice round of golf...

Loved it, what a great course and design, beautifully crafted. Classic-style layout throughout, it presents a good challenge and a really enjoyable round. I toughed out the front 9 for even, before unleashing (if I may humbly say) for a -5 run home. The PCDurum stamp is all over this - and that's about all you need to know. Brilliant, cheers!

From soley looking at your screenshots, this looks like a very nice course. However, I do see some first cut textures around the fairways that are different and or not present. I'm downloading now and will play this one! Looks Great otherwise!
