A nice links course, not the most difficult one you will ever play (with a lot of wide fairways) but more challenging on the back 9, with a few holes hugging the shoreline and some tough approaches toward the greens, guarded by a few pot bunkers. On the front 9, I like the right dogleg par-4 4th hole, downhill to the green, framed by five bunkers, and the straight par-4 7th, facing the ocean and the small mountains, with a few bunkers on the sides making the fairway narrower than on the previous holes. If the right dogleg par-5 8th hole is nice too, with a few trees facing the tee box (slightly to the right), an undulating fairway and with a slightly-uphill second shot over some deep rough to reach the green, my favorite hole is the straight, but beautiful, par-4 9th, again facing the shoreline, with two downhill shots over a meandering creek. On the par-4 10th hole, you will need to hit another shot over the meandering creek twice but, this time, on our approach only, before moving on to the right dogleg par-11th, quite pretty with a downhill tee shot over the winding creek landing onto the fairway, hugging the ocean on the left. The par-4 12th hole is straight, with a downhill tee shot landing onto an undulating and sloped fairway, along the ocean on the left, and a slightly-uphill approach to the green (with a bunker in front on the left, and on the right), and is followed by the down-and-up right dogleg par-4 13th, with a delicate approach over the creek and three bunkers further in front of the elevated green. Then, after the scenic downhill par-3 14th, one of my favorite holes, with its green, close to the cliffs on the left, you will move back inland with two left doglegs, the par-4 15th, with a downhill tee shot over a meandering creek and a slightly-uphill second shot toward the green, and the long par-5 16th hole, before finishing with the straight par-4 18th, quite pretty with its approach over the creek crossing in front of the green and ending into a small elongated lake on the left. With some nice but sparse plantings and a beautiful panorama, PCDurum succeeded in designing a pretty links course where you will have fun playing, and where you should score well on your way... to the clubhouse !

A magnificent links course & a marvellous collaborative effort - no earlier comments mention the rlslay name, but it's right there on the splash screen : "by PCDurum & rlslay". They haven't gone on to form a working alliance like Neil & Jeff did with J&M, but in both cases of these partnerships, we have received stunning courses to be enjoyed over & over again. Definite 5*...

This design is your benchmark. length is testing (without being a monster) with holes 4,8,9, 10 & 14 (a par 3) a beauty. Bunkers are excellent also.

I really enjoyed playing this course and recommend it. The layout, course foliage, and sounds really made it a fun course to play. I might have backed off some of the bird sounds just a little, some of them would repeat continuously. However, that did not take away from my having fun playing it.
