When you see a skull on top of two crossed bones represented as a logo (and the flags !), needless to say, you know you will have to be... deadly serious playing this par 75 course, pretty to look at with those big rocky mountains staring at you, and those tree-lined fairways, and quite challenging with its beautiful plantings and plenty of small water hazards and/or bunkers in the middle of the fairways, also (often) surrounding the greens. Case(s) in point : the first three holes ! On the short “risk vs reward” par-4 1st, you will have to hit a downhill tee shot over a tiny elongated pond (two-thirds of the way), with two big rocks in front, and one more at the other end, if you want to reach the green directly (depending on the wind), before facing two par-5 left dogleg holes, the 2nd, with another tough decision off the tee, club-wise, with another elongated pond, midway, in a very wide ditch, hard to avoid (unless you play it safe), and the 3rd, with another pond, in the middle (bigger than on the previous hole) and a wide bunker, right behind, and a blind second shot over a couple of rocks and more bunkers to get to the green. On the nice and long downhill par-3 4th hole, you will have to keep your eyes open to notice a tiny bit of water, shaped like the... crossed bones, right in front of the green (surrounded by deep elongated bunkers), before moving on further to the tough left dogleg par-5 6th, with a blind and downhill tee shot landing onto a tiered-fairway (with elongated bunkers on both sides, and a tree surrounded by small bunkers, further below), and a couple of big rocks in front of the green. A tiny pond (not far from the tee, on the left) and another big rock, hiding the flag, are part of the picture on the uphill par-3 7th hole, but wait until you face the left dogleg par-5 9th, with an uphill tee shot landing past an elongated bunker across the fairway (with two more on the sides, a little bit further), and a second shot over water shaped like the... skull and crossed bones toward the small green, framed by a couple of bunkers ! You will start your way back with the pretty par-3 10th hole, downhill with a tee shot over a serpentine bunker, and follow with two left doglegs, the par-4 11th, with a downhill tee shot landing past (or in front of) a small elongated bunker across the fairway (midway), and a green, with two elongated bunkers on the sides and a tiny pond (right behind), and the beautiful and short par-5 12th, with a blind tee shot landing downhill past a pretty star-shaped bunker, midway, and an elevated green, flanked by two deep bunkers. After the scenic par-3 13th hole, with a blind and downhill tee shot and an undulating green, with two tiny ponds (left and behind) and an elongated bunker (on the right) to watch for, you will have to hit a “humongous” downhill drive over some trees in the corner, on the right dogleg par-4 14th, hopefully landing past a few shrubs across the fairway, midway, and follow up with an uphill approach to the green, with two deep elongated bunkers on the sides. Then, after the right dogleg par-4 15th hole, with a downhill tee shot landing past another elongated bunker across, and an uphill approach to the green, with a little bit of water (left) and an elongated bunker (in front) to contend with, you will face another unusual and beautiful sight, with the short left dogleg par-4 16th, uphill all the way, with four small (and cute) “pie-shaped” bunkers, midway, and a big pond to the left of the green. The last two holes are short par-5s, bending sharply to the right, offering you eagle opportunities : the 17th is downhill all the way, with a tee shot landing past bunkers on the sides, and a tough approach to the green (with a small crescent-shaped pond to the right), whereas the 18th is uphill all the way, with a tee shot landing near a small bunker, shaped with the... TW letters, and a second shot over a big... ax-shaped bunker, ending near the different-toned green, shaped, in fact, like the... skull, and surrounded halfway behind by a small pond ! For his first (and only !) design, fedexfrt357... delivered a very unusual course that will make you think twice before hitting your shots, with testy fairways and greens, and quite pretty with all those different shapes of bunkers, not to mention the small pyramid-shaped tee markers (with that skull and crossed bones on all of them !). Skull, crossed bones, ax : if your knees don't buckle and your hands don't sweat, then you better pray that "Jolly be good"! I did, and I... survived (LOL !).

A long time after the release, I played this course a second time, and I did it in admiration. The great landscapes, the variety of the holes: excellent. First time I "crashed" on this course; now, older and wiser, I was more succesful. And, fedexfrt357, hoping you read this, when can we welcome a new course? Within 5 productions you must be a grandmaster.......

OK Wasn't sure if you missed it, but you are so right with some holes giving hard time with getting overhead picture all in a picture. I'm about to go through this & try fix my bad overheads on course on some holes, I'm just not sure how I'm going to make it work. Will see if I can once I get to that step with things, and my fingers are crossed for sure.....:P
Yeah, I enjoyed the course very much so, and even though I prefer real life courses in TW. I have nothing against fantasy course that have some wild imaginations things going on playing part of course itself (many players like this, so all is good). I just love real life golf shots/real courses in TW are my preferences, and it's nothing personal with designers themselves. This is one of them fantasy courses that plays real life golf shots(course playing area itself was real like) witch makes it very cool in my eyes. Had some shots where I had to think hard about how to approach things, and if a fantasy course has this going on with real life like vibes, I'm a happy camper indeed. Plus, this course had some killer things to see while playing my real life like golf rd. Very swell job again with the work done on course......
Had some stuff come up yesterday afternoon that ruined my plans for some more curtoms TW courses... :( Now we gotta go to get my wife's new wheelchair today(wasn't suppose to come for another week or so), but I'm still going to see if I can squeeze in some customs while she getting ready now... :P

Thanks Squirrely, I had a tough time with the 17th overhead, ended up with just a bit of the outside edge cut off... I thought there was still good view there...(most of what you don't see there is bunker i think)...
Glad you guys enjoyed it, I enjoyed making it... :)

Well, decided to have some fun & play some customs which I haven't been able to do lately. Turned phone off, lock the doors, and put my TW blinders on............. Glad I have so far, and going to try to squeeze in a few more too....... :)
WOW Cool course, and it's very good for this being your 1st design. Elevation work rocked, very good imagination with the things you did, good plantings, and it had some cool hole layouts on course too. Had much fun playing, and even scored +3 on it with 4 birdies in expert mode. My wife & I had great time looking from above off tee at all the cool things you put on course. We found ourselves looking at even regular lakes/bunker/even bushes trying to see if a cool shapes was there too.... LOL
Played Expert mode, very dry, clam, heavy, fair, morning, pro, difficult, and with settings all the way up @ 1680x1050. It play smoothed, and was very playable in expert mode. Good choices of risk -vs- reward shots, and the will to see the cool designs in ground made me hit some sweet green pure drives. I smacked them good, and carried the hazards making it where we got to see them designs with the cool TW camera views in game. Could tell some good love went into this design, and it came off real nice. Only thing I saw was that might cause problems on future courses. The 17th hole had overhead cut off(expert play makes this kinda of hard) I even got go back through my course and figure out how to get some parts of hole overheads all showing, I might have to get rid of other tees, and from now on I might just make pro tees only.
Thanks for your time while making this course Squirrely

Great course, played 18 yesterday and found it pretty cool. I love how the bunkers are shaped and show up things like cannons, the axe etc on the minimap. Great Job.

I usually prefer real courses, but this is one of the better fantasy courses I've tried. Couldn't wait to complete each hole just to see what the next one looked like. A lot of fun to play. Great job matey.

What a beauty of a course. Challenging yet fair. Have to pick your tee shots...there's risk but reward there.I have never seen a 1st time architect's course made so well....definitely a keeper. A must play.....

This is a really well designed course, you can tell just by looking how much time and effort has gone into making it. I doubt if there have been many first courses of this quality before. Very well done.
