With plenty of thick trees all around the course and a few small bunkers, sometimes in the middle of the fairways, this course may look difficult but, in fact, with quite a few “slightly-straight” holes, you should finish with a good score if you are patient enough and if you don't try to cut corners too often on the dogleg holes. The front 9 starts with three of them, with the par-4 1st hole, and its nice blue house on the left of the tee (with a small 1st World War memorial, right in front – seen on the general info) being the nicest, and the par-5 3rd, with trees on a hilltop in the left corner, being the toughest. I also like the sharp right dogleg par-4 6th hole, uphill all the way to the green, with a little mound in front of it, the straight downhill par-5 7th, with 4 little bunkers in the middle of the fairway, hard to avoid if you want to reach the green on your second shot, and the straight par-3 8th hole, with that blue house again, very close to the green. On the back 9, my favorite holes are the short (about 360 yards) par-4 10th, with a creek running across the fairway in front of the green, the nice right dogleg par-4 11th hole, with a creek on the left, a big bunker in the middle and a few more trees, partially blocking the view of the green, and the straight par-5 12th, with a bottleneck and slanted fairway in the middle, and a green, (maybe) a little bit too far to reach on your second shot. On the last few holes, my favorite ones are the pretty and long (more than 600 yards) par-5 15th, with a creek crossing the fairway from the right and running all the way to the left, the par-3 17th hole, with water on the left and the par-5 18th hole with, again, the creek on the left side of the fairway all the way to the green and with a few small bunkers in the middle. Even though Redwood Glen is well designed and plays smoothly, it is not as challenging and/or scenic as some of Neil Munro's latest courses, but he should still be thanked for his time and efforts designing this course.

This one strangley is a running mate to Canterbury it looks straight forward but its not! little things creep into it, make a few wayward shots and you are for it! well made course Mr Munro!
