Very nice course : pano, plantings, bunkers look great ! Plays very smoothly and greens are a little tricky sometimes. Love the par-5 9th hole... with all that water. A beautiful rendition of this course that makes you want to visit Scotland !

The name's origin has nothing to do with eagles, and is a corruption of eaglais or ecclesia, meaning church, and refers to the chapel and well of Saint Mungo, which was restored as a memorial to the Haldane family which owns the Gleneagles estate.

Neil summed it up in one word - stunning! Or as Mr McCord would say, "I'm STILL shaking my head!"

They say that St.Andrews is the home of golf, but..... why not:(all) Scotland is the home of golf. After playing this course two times, I can say: this is where I feel at home! With Rislay to Islay (whisky).....

This is one of the best courses I've played on TW08. The textures, planting and bunker work are superb. There are lots of subtle undulations on the green and fairways and I particularly like the banks and slopes bordering some of the fairways and greens. The pano is fantastic - makes me want to grab my walking boots and go for a hike.
Thanks for the hard work you've put in on this, and other courses you have made for us.

Very nice course. The 9th hole was very attractive. One thing that caught my attention was that the trees in the far background appeared washed out and ethereal. But I still enjoyed the course.
