Nice links-style course, designed by Neil Munro, with a few holes near a big lake (a little bit too dark in TW07), some pot bunkers, here and there, and high rough and gorse to make sure that you will have a tough time getting out if you land your ball in there... as I did a few times ! While not overly spectacular, as some other Neil Munro's courses, this par 73 course is well designed, has some nice plantings and quite a few challenging holes. On the front 9, I like the very pretty par-4 5th hole, with its meandering creek and slanted and undulated fairway and the par-4 6th hole, with its beautiful green surrounded by a creek (and a "cute" tiny stone bridge). Coming back, you will see a war memorial on the far right on the scenic par-4 12th hole and, again, on the left dogleg par-5 13th hole, before reaching the very sharp left dogleg, par-4 17th hole, with a lake behind the green. But the most beautiful hole might be the par-5 18th, with its fairway twisting right, then left, while hugging the lake on the right, before reaching the green and admiring the gorgeous mansion behind. Even though this course is not as tough as some other Scottish links courses, it will definitely offer you a good challenge, thanks to Neil Munro's very nice work !

Finally got to get a real rd in on this puppy tonight, and it's a good challenge, that's for sure. Played Very dry, expert, breezy, and pro tees..... This course gives you many chances to go for it, but my expert play isn't anything to write home to mama about, so I didn't do so well. For those who can grip it & rip it with the best of them, this course has got some good risk/reward shots waiting for ya. The start of the back 9 will test most golfers with some interesting hole layouts where distance is key to having a shot at birdie. Man, I can't remember that one hole number now, but it's got a great hole layout. Darn it, and it's my favorite hole on the course too, but I'm so tried, I'm to delirious to remember right now........LOL Good elevation work, and the humps & bumps where in some good spots that made them come into play if you didn't get the right angle with your shot. I like deep pot belly like bunkers that are on this course, and it made for a links vibe. I enjoy playing this course even though I scored +16 or so, but I'll get it next time I play it..... Gotta go to bed before my face falls onto the keyboard
Oh Yeah, This course has got the DunDee War Memorial down in the Vally(cool looking Vally by the way) perched in a nice spot to remember the fallen ones who gave their lives for a great cause. Look out for it when out on the Links
Thanks for your time while making this course Squirrely

This one lacked something and looked a bit bare. Overhead maps were a bit hard to read. So not as much enjoyment as your other courses. well made though and ran well, just felt it could have been better.

Cool beans, it's here. I will play a real round while trying to get some of my tournament rds in today too. Will see what I can score on this puppy, and not sure if I'll set winds with the little experience I have at playing expert, but I might get funky, and give it a go. From testing this, I know getting off tee while avoiding trees lines & hazards will be key. I'll leave my real comments once I get a full real round in today, and I sure love playing a course for the 1st time for real while seeing what challenges it brings trying to get a good scorecard.
