No sight of a little house on the prairie at Walnut Run Golf Course !
Instead, you are looking at the beautiful snow-capped mountains and a very hilly landscape, well designed by willie.
On the front 9, I like the par-4 1st, an uphill dogleg to the right, with a very nice view as you reach the green. On the par-4 3rd, you will have to choose your clubs carefully as you will need to hit two blind shots : one to go over the creek or stop before, and another one to reach the hidden green located way below !
But there is one problem : there is a very unrealistic cone-shaped mound to reach the cup, making it look like you are playing mini-golf... Why ?
Other holes are nice, such as the par-5 4th (nice view of the mountains as your approach the green) and the par-3 5th, which has a slanted fairway and green and nice villas around.
I also like the par-5 7th, with beautiful flowers near the tee area and a nice clubhouse near the uphill green.
Coming back, the par-3 11th is tough with the fairway located between water on the right and high trees on the left. The par-3 13th is pretty nice but, unfortunately, water on the left side does not blend in very well...
The par-4 17th could have been nice but there is a big tree in the water near the green !
In fac, the best hole on the back 9 is the very tough par-5 18th with, not one, but two very large patches of high rough in the middle of the fairway before reaching the beautiful clubhouse.
Overall, this course could have been a masterpiece had willie taken care of a couple of bugs... Maybe in an updated version, who knows ?

#2 hole on a cone shaped mound? #7 unplayble, hole on the side of a steep hill after 4 putting i disconnected. Not realistic.
