Another nice and challenging course from Hershel Dirtwater, especially on the front 9, with some beautiful snow-capped mountains as a backdrop, plenty of elevations changes and tough pin placements, close to a few bunkers and steep slopes. On the front 9, I like the straight par-3 2nd hole, quite scenic with the mountains in front and a narrow fairway with trees on both sides, the right dogleg par-4 3rd, with a heavily-slanted rollercoaster fairway, and the other right dogleg par-5 4th, downhill all the way to the green. The downhill par-4 5th hole is quite nice too, albeit not too difficult despite its undulated fairway, whereas the straight par-3 6th is quite tough with its slanted fairway and small green with a flag very close to a bunker. Then, after the downhill par-4 7th hole and its wide and deep rough on the left side, you will reach two of my favorite holes: the scenic left dogleg par-5 8th, with a downhill tee shot and a two-tiered fairway all the way uphill to the green, and the par-4 9th hole, where you have a nice panoramic view from the tee area before hitting a downhill shot, hopefully landing beyond (or in front) of the meandering creek flowing from the left to the middle of the fairway, and then all the way to the far right of the green. The back 9 is less picturesque as the first three right dogleg par-4 holes look a little bit similar (10th, 11th, 12th) with uphill tee shots, the most difficult one being the 11th with its tiny raised green and steep slope around... The par-3 13th hole is straight and short (about 120 yards) but quite steep downhill with a slopey green, unlike the right dogleg par-4 14th with its steep uphill tee shot. Another short hole is the right dogleg par-4 15th (about 330 yards) but, with plenty of deep rough in front of the green on the right, you better play it safe if you don't want to feel... sorry ! Finally, after completing the left dogleg par-4 16th and the straight par-3 17th holes, where the flags are quite close to the slopes, you will be rewarded with a nice panoramic view on the left dogleg downhill par-5 18th hole, with a meandering creek flowing across in front of the green from the right side. With nice plantings and some steep elevation changes, this par 71 will test you all the way until the end and is a nice course to keep, thanks to Hershel Dirtwater's talented design !

A beast of a course, nothing easy about this one. Fairways can be tricky to read, elevation changes and raised greens make approaches tough, and difficult pin placements on oft times severe slopes - a par on any hole is a fine score! The design is terrific - sweet to look at, very natural and picturesque, and it plays smooth and fair. Not sure how often I'll be back for the pain but certainly great stuff if you want it. Cheers!

This is a wonderful course. Looks very realistic and is fun to play. Good detail work. Very tough greens. This shows a peek at what is still ahead for this game. Congratulations.
