Very nice course with small hills as a panorama and some holes that will require a lot of thinking with plenty of strategically-placed bunkers and water hazards. This par 72 may look "easy", but with deep rough and plenty of bushes to deal with, along with a few tricky greens to read, you will find out otherwise ! On the front 9, I like the left dogleg par-4 2nd hole, with an elongated lake in the middle of the fairway, not too hard but nice, the par-5 4th, with a serpentine lake flowing across midway and then to the left all the way to the green, and the straight par-3 5th hole, with a small lake across in front of the green, surrounded by nice flowers. The right dogleg par-4 6th hole is quite nice too, with a tee shot over the sinuous lake and an approach shot, again above the water to reach the green on the right, with nice houses around. The straight par-3 7th hole is easy, but has a gorgeous small island in the middle of the lake behind the green, with a lone tree and plenty of flowers around it, whereas the dogleg par-5 8th and par-4 9th holes have a wide lake on the right and a few deep bunkers spread along the fairways to watch for. The back 9 starts with the easy but beautiful par-3 10th hole, with a big island green and a nice bridge on the left side,*/+ and is followed by the other par-3, the 13th hole, quite nice with big trees right in the middle of the fairway, hiding the green and the nice flower beds further below ! I also like the par-5 14th hole, with an inverted L-shaped lake on the right side and the last par-3, the 16th hole, with a blind tee shot over a big mound halfway through. The par-5 17th hole is straight but long (about 600 yards), with a downhill tee shot and high rough splitting the fairways three times (!), making you think... twice before hitting your shots, unlike the par-4 18th hole, quite short (about 340 yards), but with a big elongated bunker and trees on the right side of the fairway all the way, hidden the green to the right. Very well designed by jbx1612 (even without the Balmoral castle), and fun to play, Balmoral is a delightful "little" course, tougher than it looks if you are not careful, and a definite keeper... with, or without, the Queen's approval !

Just played this course. Very well done! Greens are tough, but playable. And the hazards are placed in strategic areas. Makes you think about your shots. Some great effort and thought put into this one. Excellent job jbx!!

Just love playing your courses jbx and this is another excellent design. Tougher than your other courses, with excellent greens - a real challenge. Great the way you use water in your designs. Will keep this one.

Hi JB - This is an AWESOME course. Hard to play, greens that are readable (but hard to play them). The most important thing is I do not have too many Fantasy courses I keep. This one is keeper.
Oh, and those who feel the water on many of the holes are contrived, they are not. It makes the game exactly how it's supposed to be - a fun challenge.
Keep cranking them out!
George.
