Just like at the Balmoral Park, also designed by jbx1612, you will not see the castle from the above picture : instead, you will see a... lot of trouble, as this par 72 is not only gorgeous, with its colorful trees and flowers, but also very tough with so many water hazards and strategically-placed bunkers ! The straight par-3 1st hole, with its elevated green, colorful trees and flowers all around is a nice way to start your round and you better enjoy it before reaching the right dogleg par-4 3rd hole, with a risky tee shot over the river and a bunker not far behind, in the middle of the fairway. The sharp dogleg to the right par-4 4th hole is quite tough too, with a small mound not far from the tee, a bunker in the right corner with a big pond on the other side, making your tee shot quite tricky, and a downhill slope to the beautiful green, surrounded with flowers. Two other risk/reward holes are the straight par-4 5th with a serpentine lake in the middle of the fairway, making your tee shot quite crucial if you don't want to end up in the water, and the right dogleg par-4 6th, with a couple of bunkers in the middle of the fairway and the meandering river flowing from the right to the left across the green in front. If you did not have your feet wet yet, the left dogleg par-5 7th hole will "offer" you another "opportunity", with a tee shot over the river, with a big bunker not far behind, and an elevated green with a big bunker in front of it. Thankfully, you will not see any water on the par-3 8th hole, with its green in a downhill... basin, with nice flowers around, just like on the very scenic downhill right dogleg par-5 9th, with a steep (and blind) second shot to an elevated green, with the clubhouse on the left side. After another "waterless" hole, the left dogleg par-4 10th, you will start scratching your head again with the straight par-4 11th hole, and its small pond flowing across the fairway twice midway through, making your tee shot quite tricky again ; but, if you land your ball on the left side, you should have a clear view of the green, guarded by a big bunker in front, and... the river to the left ! Speaking of the river to the left, you will see it on the par-3 12th hole, with the small green to aim for, unlike on the sttraight par-5 13th hole where, once again, you will have to be careful with your tee shot to avoid a small bunker in the middle of the green and a big pond a little bit further. Two straight holes follow : the par-4 14th, with a big mound in the middle of the fairway, next to the river on the right (flowing across in front of the green), and the par-4 15th hole, quite similar but with the meandering river, cutting through in the middle of the fairway, with two bunkers guarding the front of the green. The par-3 16th hole, like a lot of other holes, is beautiful and tough, with the river running right in front of the tiny green, unlike the final two holes, very nice, but with no water to worry about. The par-4 17th hole has big trees in the middle, separating two... identical fairways (and two identical bunkers on both sides !), and a gorgeous green in a downhill basin, again surrounded by grogeous flowers, whereas the right dogleg par-5 18th has a lot of high rough all across the middle of the fairway and a nice green with beautiful small trees around and the nice clubhouse behind ! With its superb plantings and numerous water hazards, Windsor Park will test your skills from the 1st tee to the 18th green, thanks to jbx1612's wonderful design. So, hurry to download this gem to find out if you will be... up to par !
