This par 72 is not very spectacular with its sparse vegetation and its "unfinished" look, but it is quite challenging with plenty of knee-high rough and a few well-placed bunkers. After three straight holes, the downhill right dogleg par-4 4th, quite bare all around, has a tough uphill and blind approach shot to the green with a small mound, very high rough and a bunker in front, on the left side. Two of the nicest holes, on the front 9, are the left dogleg par-4 6th, with a big elongated lake on the left side, and the very picturesque down-and-up par-3 7th hole, with a cute little old barn and water tower on the left side of the tee box. If the par-4 8th hole is straight, it has a small pond in front of the green with deep rough behind and can be tricky, unlike the slightly downhill and left dogleg par-5 9th hole, with an elevated green and the clubhouse, with a few cars parked behind. On the back 9, I like the left dogleg par-5 10th hole, with its rollercoaster fairway and uphill approach shot to the downhill sloped green (with a big bunker on the left side), and the par-4 11th, similar to the 10th hole. The par-3 13th hole, on another hand, has a panoramic view of the landscape and a green on the other side of a small hill, whereas the slightly downhill par-3 17th has a small pond in front of the green to wath for. Finally, the par-5 18th hole is quite nice and tricky, with its uphill tee shot, houses overlooking the fairway on the hill on the right side, and a blind approach shot uphill to the downhill green, with a steep slope in front and a big bunker awaiting your shot with "open" arms ! Overall, this is not your traditional links course but it plays smoothly, thanks to BigStamp49, even though it does not look like a... Cadillac !
