I found the course very playable, and was not at all disturbed by the rendering of the rocks, is what it is. Greens had some nasty breaks around the holes, but nothing unfair, and the elevated shots seemed to me to play like real life - not that in real life I can hit shots like I hit in TW 2008! Thanks, A1stPoet, it makes my "A" list!

Wow ! After just finishing playing at the Raven Golf course, this is quite a change... I just feel like I landed on another planet ! A gorgeous and, at times, scary course, with very steep holes and an incredible view of the snow-capped mountains. Like other players mentioned, it is hard, however, to render quarries graphically. On a few holes, especially on the front 9, it does not look very smooth (at least on TW07) but, if you can get by that aspect, all holes are spectacular in their own ways. On the front 9, I like the first 2 holes (what a view on the par-5 2nd !). After playing the 3rd hole, don't forget to take your pills if you suffer from dizziness as the par-4 is really scary. The par-3 5th and the par-4 6th and 9th are very nice too. The scenery changes on the back 9 from the 10th to the 12th hole (not as steep) but the hold-your-breath par-4 14th hole will bring you back to the scary reality ! If your survive, the last 3 holes, and especially the par-4 18th will convince you to keep this spectacular course, thanks to the talent of A1stPoet !

Hi A1stPoet -
I really love the way each hole plays, and yes, this is a fun and tricky course in windy conditions, and views do almost get in the way. Watching that ball just soar from an elevated tee, makes me feel like I'm back in New York!
As for the cliffs and rocks near the holes, they almost look like a tree pattern with all the lines being vertical. Also, your course graphic (That little icon) did not look right, so I am in the process of taking something from the real course and creating it. If you want it, let me know and I will send it to you.
Otherwise, the layout and the way each hole plays are skillfully done, and I am keeping this course.

Thanks Cat, Power. The reason the textures in my opinion seem bland in the distance is due to how the game renders them. When you are close to the rocks , they look like rocks, but when you are on the other side of the course looking at them they just fade into a blah texture. I sure wish it would render better, because this course in real life looks gorgeous. From what Dan in California( who has played this and asked me to build it) the course is about what it is, except for the rock faces just don't do justice on here. Also what i ran into was that the course perimiter ends, and then the pano starts, and some of the hills just don't mesh where they should so one gets an empty space.

Good looking Golf course. Great Design. I found some of the textures (eg) hills in the BG were not quite right. Did anyone else notice it or just my VC?
Overall great work in the design.
