A gorgeous course and definitely one of Bullpupp2's best as mentioned below by everyone !
With its nice Blue Ridge mountains in the background, superb elevation changes, and its lake and streams branching out (and around which the course is designed), this par 71 will challenge you with plenty of blind shots and careful approaches to the smooth but, sometimes, sloped greens.
On the front 9, I like the right dogleg par-4 1st hole, uphill all the way and with a second shot over plenty of shrubs and deep rough, and the left dogleg par-5 2nd, downhill all the way, with a nice panoramic view of the lake behind the green.
Then, after the par-3 3rd hole, with a tee shot over the lake, you will face two right doglegs : the par-4 4th hole is pretty, with a tee shot over water flowing out from the lake and crossing the fairway, and a downhill approach to the green over a little stream ending into the lake, and the par-5 5th is steeply uphill, with a fairway set between small hills and with water coming down from the lake (on the right and behind the green), and over which you will have to hit your blind approach to reach it.
Another superb and very scenic hole is the par-3 6th, with a small hill on the right of the tee box, and a tee shot over the creek and the lake (with shrubs around it), and is followed by the slightly-uphill par-4 7th hole, along the serpentine creek (on the left) and a small hilltop (on the right), and a green at the bottom of a small rocky hill.
The last two holes are not to be overlooked either with the beautiful but very risky par-4 8th, with a blind and downhill tee shot flying over the lake (mostly on the left) and an elevated green, and the left dogleg par-4 9th, with a blind and uphill tee shot landing down onto the sloped fairway, midway, and another shot downward to the green.
On your way back, you will start with three nice holes : the par-4 10th is a right dogleg, with an uphill tee shot and a blind approach over the creek flowing down from the lake across the fairway (near the green), whereas the par-3 11th, maybe my favorite, looks like a postcard with a tee shot along the creek (on the right) and over the lake, landing onto the heart-shaped island green, and is quite different from the other par-3, the 12th, very long (over 270 yards !), but pretty too with a tee shot over a couple of rock outcroppings and a waste area filled with shrubs and a green, set on a high plateau.
Then, after two "easier" but nice holes, the par-4 13th, with a downhill tee shot landing near (or past) the creek, crossing the fairway, midway, and an uphill second shot toward the elevated green, and the par-3 14th, steeply uphill with a green at the bottom of a hilltop, you will have to be careful with your blind and uphill approach over plenty of bushes to reach the green of the left dogleg par-4 15th hole.
As you stand on the tee box of the right dogleg par-4 16th hole, you will have to decide whether to hit your tee shot to the left of the three trees in the middle or to the right, more risky (while making sure to avoid the big elongated bunker) before hitting a blind and scary approach over trees way below to reach the green on the other side of the hill.
You will then go back the other way, with the long par-5 17th hole, with a tee shot over those trees again, landing down the winding fairway, but reaching the green on your second shot with trees hiding the elevated green, will be close to impossible, unlike on the other par-5, the 18th hole where, after hitting your downhill tee shot near two big bunkers (on the right), you might be able to reach the green if you can hit a long and uphill second shot toward the green, while making sure to avoid a big pond in front, to the left.
With its beautiful plantings and hilly countryside, and its lake as a center of attraction, this Blue Ridge Golf Club looks real and is a must download and one that you will play again and again...

Details and layout of fairways were excellent. Enjoyed the challenge especially on the dry greens.

This is without doubt one of the best courses i have downloaded ! this one should be included on the original game cd !IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE TO PLAY

I am not a big fictional course player, but knowing Bullpupps' work, I had to give it a go. I really like the course very much over all. Need to position each sot for the next. The routing flows well. The course fits the terrain very well. Excellent detail work on the textures and plantings. I love the integration of the water in various places. The greens were devilish and very playable. On very dry they had the perfect amount of roll. Very challenging on expert with the lie effect in the game. I highly recommend it to all players. It is a very worthy download. I will be playing this one many times over. Great Job!!

I have downloaded a lot of great golf courses from this site over the years. I have never had the talent to create one and upload it. I felt like I had to comment on this course however. It is absolutely beautiful, fun and challenging. The best I have seen. I am looking forward to any new course you create. Thanks!!
