With a gorgeous city skyline and waterfront panorama (with plenty of nice docked boats), this par 70 has some great views from many holes, despite having very few trees and/or vegetation. In fact, this links course is fun to play and is tougher than it looks with a lot of undulated fairways, well-placed bunkers, and greens, where you will have your hands full, just putting for some pars on a few holes. On the front 9, I like the nice view from the tee of the right dogleg par-4 1st hole, and the right dogleg par-4 3rd, with a tee shot over a small pond and another nice panoramic view of the skyline as you approach the green. The right dogleg par-4 4th hole is nice too, with a small lake in the middle, but the long left dogleg par-5 6th, with bunkers across midway through (with some tents and grandstands on the left side), and a couple of ponds in front of the green, is even nicer ! Then, after the straight par-3 7th hole, with a tee shot over a lake and a green, with four bunkers on both sides, you will reach the cute right dogleg par-4 8th, with a tiny creek across (not far from the tee) and a big out-of-bounds grassy wasteland, not far from the green. Coming back, the par-5 10th hole, with a lake on the left side, another grassy wasteland a little bit further and a slightly-elevated green should offer you an eagle or a birdie opportunity, as it is relatively short. The straight par-3 11th hole is not too difficult but looks nice, with a small elongated pond on the left side and another big pond, further to the left (near the undulated green), with a few palm trees behind, just like the right dogleg par-4 13th, slightly downhill, with a few trees midway on the left and some (rare) bushes on the right side, and a tall palm tree behind the green. If the straight par-4 14th hole is quite short (about 320 yards), with bunkers on both sides of the fairway in front of the green, giving you a chance to score an eagle or a birdie, you can forget about trying to reach the green on the other short left dogleg par-4 16th (about 325 yards), as tall grass... stand all the way across the fairway near the green (with some out-of-bounds areas), with a couple of trees and bunkers to add a little more “spice” to your golfing round ! Finally, the left dogleg par-4 18th hole, with medium rough on the right and a slightly-downhill approach shot to the green, should offer you another birdie opportunity, provided that you don’t get too distracted by the nice view of the bay behind... Overall, Singapore Oracle is a nice links course which plays very smoothly and can give you fits if you don’t putt well and, even though it does not mounds like most of its British counterparts, it is definitely a nice course to keep, thanks to Engguy’s nice design and imagination !

Played just now while practicing for a tour this week with breezy winds, heavy ruff, very dry, and diff pins, and this course served up a good challenge. Got 3 birds, 1 bogey to finish with -2 while soaking up the cool city waterfront views. I personally love huge greens that have double breakers causing great action of the ball on putts & approach shots like this course served up, and I'm looking forward to playing some more rds this week on tour. Good work on the elevation work, and I enjoyed playing this course because I love hills & more hills. It's my love for link courses talking, but I just had a cool fun time on this course indeed. Oh yeah, like the palm trees areas with the plantings around them, and play this course just now kinda reminded me of playing Fort Myers Country Club close to downtown Ft. Myers. Cool little historical course it was, but you had to watch out not to hit the cars coming by..... :P
Thanks for you time while making this puppy Squirrely

What a fantastic course! Is a truly realistic fantasy course. The terrain work is incredible. The pano fits seamlessly into the landscape. The bunkering as only a great designer can produce. I was so impressed by your use of waste areas that make club choice a challenge! The greens are beautiful and a test of patience and shot management!...Just a fun course, from my first tee shot to my last putt! Thanks Engguy...for this amazing design...
