Great design, the course/pano looked very nice (except for the dead space b/w them) and it has an interesting and varied layout. Can be tough off the tees here with some narrow fairways to navigate - and pin placements and green speed do cause some head-aching at times. (And that green on the 18th - that's one bumby little bugger!) All good fun though, I like the course, it plays very smoothly and is easy on the eye. Terrific job, cheers!

A pleasant course to play with lakes & small mountains in the backdrop. Expect downhill shots (mostly on the front 9), narrow greens, sometimes faster... and brighter than usual, doglegs and your usual well-placed bunkers. Quite a few nice holes, such as the par-3 7th where the flag is on the edge of the green next to the water (at least with a difficult pin placement setting) and on the back 9, the par-4 13th and 18th (with beautiful flowers around the greens), and the two par-3 15th and 16th with narrow greens and bunkers around). Plays smoothly and is worth keeping, thanks to Whiffle56 !

The over all design of the course is good the issue like many is the greens there is just too many severe humps and bumps especially combined with the texture used billy's fast greens. I would suggest a remake of the greens smoothing them out a tad and change green textures.
I played an expert round with 3 other guys and they all had the same opinion nice course but unfair greens. This is not meant as an insult to the designer as it is very tough to make a course and even tougher one that all like but more a suggestion on how to improve this course.

Although I notice definite improvement compared to earlier courses from Whiffle that I've seen, there's still a lot left to be desired, imho. This is supposed to be a real course. I am not familiar with the actual course, so I don't know how close it is to the real thing. From what I know about real terrain, the course does look a little flat to me tho. Even if a course is actually rather flat overall, that doesn't usually mean that the fairways are like a pool cloth. You will always find little humps and bumps and ridges that may not affect the way the course plays at all, but that will add a lot to the feeling of actually being at a real course. As it is, this effort still looks a bit arcadish to me. I realize that a lot of this probably comes down to persobnal taste, but I believe that if a designer aspires to do real courses, he should at least try for some realism in that regard. With the tools we have it is pretty easy to lay out a fairly accurate copy of a real course. The trick is making it look real. There still aren't that many real course designers who have developed a real knack for that imo. I had no real issue with the greens per se, except that the texture did seem exceptionally fast. When you are using a superslick green texture like that, you should maybe try and be a bit more conservative on the sculpting side. Otherwise people who play expert may find some greens impossible to play. And that definitely doesn't add to their playing pleasure. One definitely objective piece of criticism is the proximity of the course edge. On several holes it is but a few yards away from the playing areas. You get this ugly bland green area between your pano and your course. It pays to stay at least 100 yds away from the edge of your terrain when you're laying out your holes.

Let's get real.. greens are not always flat and smooth. I think you have captured the real feel of a putting green. I like the course.. great job. I like a green with a little bit of a challenge. Anyone can make a course more challenging by just adding some difficult conditions. What is important is the basic design of the course.. You have done well. Thanks for all of your hard work.

Why is it anymore that someone cannot leave a fair honest comment on a course anymore if it doesn't say something like great job or whatever without getting flamed???

Nice layout, it is a tough course with narrow fairways. Got to agree with Steve though, I thought the greens had too much slopes and bumps for my putting (not my strong point :)), particularly with the fast greens.
