As mentioned below by Danut Golf, you can't go wrong, downloading one of barrylb37's courses, and this one is no exception. Not only it is well designed, it is also quite eye-pleasing and challenging, with some undulated terrain, doglegs, well-placed bunkers and a few small greens, not to mention some difficult pin placements on some holes. After starting with a nice par-4 1st hole, with a fairway next to a small... runway on the left (with a little private plane parked nearby), you will reach the long dogleg par-5 3rd hole, with a few trees on the left, not far from the partially-hidden green, making it quite tough to reach it with your second shot. The next interesting holes are the straight par-3 5th, with an elevated green and a nice panoramic view of the bay behind, the short (less than 350 yards) right dogleg par-4 6th hole, with a small pond to the right of the green, and the 7th hole (similar to the 6th), even nicer, as it is next to the bay on the right and behind the green. One of my favorite holes is the very tough par-5 8th, with its fairway, next to the lakefront, twisting left, then right, with trees on a small hill (on the right) near the green, making it quite hard to see and reach it. Thankfully, the nice straight par-4 9th hole, with the lake on the right and a small elevated green, should offer you a birdie opportunity, even with its tough pin placement... Similarly, the dogleg par-5 10th hole, with the lake on the right of the fairway and a green slightly to the right, should offer you another shot at a birdie, just like on the nice rollercoaster right dogleg par-5 12th hole, with an uphill tee shot and a blind second shot toward the elevated green, with the lake behind. I also like the right dogleg par-4 14th hole, not too difficult but with a small green at the end of a downhill slope, and the nice uphill par-3 15th hole, with a tiny green and a couple of trees on the left, next to the pin. Then, after the straight par-3 16th hole, and its tee shot over a big lake, you will reach the par-4 17th, slightly to the right, with a choice of two landing spots (left or right) on your tee shot after its "flight" over a big pond across, before finishing your round with the dogleg par-4 18th, with a big lake on the right side and a nice panoramic view on the left as your reach the green. With its nice panoramic view and manicured look, Wolverine Island Golf Club is definitely a place where you should land and play, thanks to barrylb37' original design...

I have to tell you - when I see a new release by Barry, I don't think twice - I just download it. Barry, your courses are arguably some of the best there are. Definitely a quality I struggle with and fail to achieve. Just keep them coming! Thanks!

Great course, and I had to really think about where to put my drives on this course. The pins placement on difficult were in some tight spots with danger front & back if distance wasn't right. Loved the challenge, and anyone who's looking for a great course to play on, this is it. Could tell you really though about this courses layout with how it effected your 2nd shot to the green or on your second shot on the par 5. Tough par fives, and I laid up on all of them..... :P
Just shot the round of my life at -3(true-swing/inter) with only one boogie on this course. My wife & I where giving each other high fives during my 1st round in this weeks tournament, and with how much this course really test your shots. I really felt like I did something to core that on this course.

Played it on v dry. Not really my kind of course......... too many forced shots. Found no tears or rips. Nice countouring of both the fairways and greens. I would have preferred a higher contrast between rough and fairway textures. None of this would prevent me from rating this course moderately high. I found the green textures to be on the slow side. Very nice water work .
