Challenging course with quite a few narrow and downhill fairways and some tricky greens. With small mountains as a backdrop, beautiful plantings (gorgeous flowers) and water hazards, this par 71 looks pretty and plays smoothly.
On the front 9, I like the par-5 3rd hole, with its flowers, bunkers and a lake on the right side, the par-4 6th, with its blind approach shot toward the downhill green and the par-5 7th hole, with its gorgeous flowerbeds... on the other bank of the lake !
The back 9 has some nice holes too, my favorites being the right dogleg par-4 12th hole, with its very high trees, and the par-4 18th, with the lake on the left side and trees partially hiding the green.
As mentioned by other players, this course has some very tricky and fast greens and you will have to concentrate more than usual on your putts to avoid some desillusions, thanks to Whiffle56's nice design (ha, ha) !

I don't know why I only dowloaded and played this course just now.
I should have done it years before, because is a jewel to look at.
Beautiful!
Very difficult and very fast greens caused me a triple bogey somewhere, but all the same: a fantastic course.

I like this course a lot. You really have to think about your shots, including where they land on the green. Smart, careful players will find this a challenge to play, especially if the greens are dry or very dry, and pin location is difficult. Land it wrong on the green, you just mind yourself 3- to 4- putting.

Flop shots to the pin become more useful here instead of a chip, where if your chip is short, it will come right back at your feet,

Great job on making a realistic course "realistic" and of making a course where every shot must be planned.

George.

Hi Whiffle:

Hope all is going well with you.

I have been testing courses for more then 5 years now and I just finished playing your course; And, although I thought it had some pretty interesting hole layouts with fast greens and was pretty nicely built, I saw some areas that I felt could be improved upon also.

I feel that your design shows that you have the potential of becoming a very good designer. If you wish, I would be happy to test your betas for you before you release them.

Please send me a P.M. with your E-mail address and I will send you my website address. (There is never a charge for my testing service.)

Thanks and I look forward to your reply.

Have a great day.

I played it on normal and as it says in the comments those greens are slick.
This one will be a keeper for me.

Very nice job on the course. Good layout with wandering holes and your right fast greens. I played with wet and ball roll very well. The only thing I would have changed and this my thoughts is making the sand darker in color. Great work keep up the good work!
