What a change after just finishing playing at Jack Nicklaus's PGA Private course ! This course plays smoothly but does not really look like a links course, except for the last few holes, with a little more trees than usual and very few bunkers. Strangely enough, even though it is located at Mountain View, my attention was caught more by the walls surrounding the course than the mountains with the impression of playing in an enclosure. A few nice holes, however, are worth mentioning, mainly becaue of the nice... plantings : the par-4 2nd with rocks & bushes, and the par-4 14th, a nice dogleg with lots of flowers. I also liked the par-4 3rd with the green surrounded by the water, and the very nice view of the elevated green as you get ready to hit your second shot at the par-4 12th hole. In short, not a spectacular course but plays well, thanks to a1stpoet...

This felt like a typical Robert Trent-Jones' design, and you really captured the true playing conditions. I do not know if it is just as easy to hit out of the sand on the real course as it was here. Seems the game was designed with "Dry Conditions" - that is normal greens feel like dry ones, and you get good distances on your clubs.
Speaking of greens, there are no gimmicks used here, and some really nice "realistic" sloping making it very playable.
This course stays in my library as one to play over and over.

the dual roadway is the main entrance to the course, a divided roadway if you will. It goes to the clubhouse, diner, and the lake. The cartpaths for this course were a bugger due to the changes in grasses throughout the course. Thanks for downloading and playing.

Nice job Bill. Not sure about the dual-carriageway cartpaths. Do you get a lot of traffic on them? ;-) I realise it's a 'real' course and you used the TA, so if it's there, it should be?
