I know exactly what jimi means and I think most of us do to. But why put somebody down and then stomp on them? You give great constructive criticism, but we all know how we would feel, if we heard things like "the designer ought to be ashamed of himself". I know if I would have heard these comments with my first couple of courses, I probly would have quit. Now, I would just tell you where to go!
So as per the Privacy Policy for comments go,stick to em, just leave the putdowns out, and I think your criticism would be better accepted.
Fair criticism is one thing, but to berate someone is different.
P.S. I do believe jimi has nothing but the best intentions. Peace.

Well, you sound pretty mature for your age, Bobby :)More so than me, maybe. I just get annoyed with newbie designers getting nothing but praise for what are, basically, newbie efforts. I understand that people need some encouragement now and then, but if they never get any fair criticism they'll never improve, will they? When I review a course I like to point out areas that could be improved, but frankly in this case that was a hopeless undertaking. There were just too many.

I'm 20 :)
I haven't played the course, so I'll hold back my opinion there.
I agree with what Barry said that a course does not have to be good to be released, but I also would like to point out that by letting people comment on a course you are opening it up to criticism. Personally, Jimi, I think you could have worded it better, but I also think you have the right to share your opinion.

You're probably right Barry, about me taking this too seriously, lol. Although i have to say that the youngest kid i ever met here was at least in his 30s :) I maybe had a bit too much to drink when I wrote that. I stand by my opinion that this is a (expletive deleted) course tho and that the designer should definively study some tutorials.

I usually don't get involved in these matters, but...
To some of us this isn't about honing a craft, it is simply about sharing. Where is it written that it has to be good to be posted? I have been doing this a long time, and I don't feel as if anything has been "inflicted" on me. Nor do I feel insulted. If I don't like a course, I just uninstall it. If I have any tips to give the designer, sometimes I do.
Some of us take this a little too serious. Some of the people who post here are just kids, don't forget.

I suppose the people commenting on this course are all very good friends of the designer who do not want to hurt his feelings. In actual fact, the designer ought to ber ashamed of mimself to inflict this monstrositity on the playing community. There is no CA skill apparent at all in this course, which is just a series of rather obvious concepts with no attention to detail whatsoever. Calling this feeble effort "a fantastic job" is not only stretching the truth to an unbelieveable extent, it is frankly an insult to designers who have spent years honing their craft. I wish the designer had at least taken the time to study the tororials that are available on this site for creating credible bunkers and green sites. Normally I speak only from a designer's point of view, but even as a player I would be most disappointed with this download. My advice to the designer would be to check out some of the available custom courses from longtime designers and try his hand at achieving at least some kind of realism in his designs. P.S. I'm fully aware of the truckloads of manure that are going to be piled on me for this comment, but honestly, I'm getting sick and tired of people thinking designing a course is easy to begin with. It isn't. It takes years to really learn this craft, even though the basic tools are simple enough. I just wish newbie designers weren't satisfied this easily with their own efforts.
