With an English hillside as a panorama and plenty of undulating and sloping fairways, quite colorful with all those yellow weeds and deep rough around, this par 71 has a lot of blind tee shots (uphill or downhill) and a few tough and tricky sloping greens, not to mention some small bunkers and waste areas to watch for. The par-4 1st hole sets the tone for what you will face all along, with a downhill tee shot, plenty of medium weeds and deep rough all around the fairway, and an uphill approach to the elevated green, slightly to the right, with a couple of big bunkers in front (to the right), and is followed by the left dogleg par-5 2nd, with a blind tee shot landing down the sloped and slanted fairway and an uphill approach shot to the green. The par-3 3rd hole is pretty with plenty of weeds and rough in front of the tee box, and tricky too with a tiny pond behind (and to the left) of the undulating green with a small bunker in front, whereas on the par-4 4th, you will hit a blind tee shot going down and over a big bunker across midway followed by a blind approach shot to the green. After the par-4 5th hole, with a few old houses and towers on the left side, I like the par-5 6th, with its blind (and very long and tough) approach shot to the green, slightly to the right, with trees hiding a small horseshoe-shaped creek around the green. The front 9 has two other nice holes : the par-3 8th has a big waste area filled with rough and small bushes, with more medium weeds between the tee and the green, and the left dogleg par-4 9th hole needs a big tee shot over plenty of weeds with a risky approach shot to the small green, surrounded by two small bunkers and high grass. More rollercoaster fairways await you on the back 9, starting with the short (less than 500 yards) par-5 11th hole, with a blind tee shot down the fairway and another blind second shot to reach the downhill green, with a few shrubs planted diagonally in front. Then, after the par-3 12th hole, with a small pond on the right side in front of the green, with deep weed all around, you will head for the nice par-4 14th hole, with its blind tee shot deep downhill and its steep uphill approach shot to the green, slightly to the left. The right dogleg par-4 15th hole is pretty with its downhill tee shot and a blind uphill shot to the green, with a big pond in front ending slightly to the left (with a tiny little bridge), and so is the similar dogleg par-4 16th, with another blind shot downhill and an uphill shot to the green, slightly to the right, with a small pond on the left. Finally, after the par-3 17th hole, and its small pond halfway across, you will head for the picturesque par-4 18th where, after a downhill tee shot landing near some shrubs planted all along the fairway (on the left), you will need a blind uphill approach shot to reach the green, slightly downhill with a big bunker across in front. With its rollercoaster fairways and undulating greens, surrounded by plenty of weeds and rough, this Manu Lynx Golf course is quite challenging, and if you don't mind a few grainy patches on quite a few holes, you should enjoy it, thanks to A1stPoet !
