Stunning course from the 1st tee to the 18th green, with great elevation work, bunkers, beautiful plantings and twisted cart paths, and a gorgeous ocean panorama with the sound of waves on a few holes. Not only this par 70 is superb but there is not a single flat hole where you can "rest" for a while... The first four holes are uphill : the right dogleg par-4 1st and 2nd holes, the scenic par-3 3rd, and the left dogleg par-4 4th, with a slanted fairway, three bunkers and high rough in the middle and another uphill green. Standing on the tee of the par-5 5th hole won't give you a clue as to what to expect : a blind tee shot downhill and a tough approach shot to the green, reachable if you try to cut the corner and hit above (or around) the lone tree standing there. Two other scenic holes are the par-5 8th, with two uphill shots and beautiful bushes on the sides of the tee, and the par-4 9th hole, with a blind downhill shot and a gorgeous panoramic view of the ocean of the left side and the landscape around. On the back 9, I like the right dogleg par-4 10th hole, with 2 uphill shots and a very nice cart path, the right dogleg par-4 13th and par-5 15th holes, with gorgeous view of the ocean on the right, and in front. As you get close to the seashore, you will face two different but gorgeous holes : the very short left dogleg par-4 16th (about 260 yards), downhill with trees, bushes and high rough, right in the corner (and where you will have to decide to take the risk of reaching the green), and the superb right dogleg par-4 18th hole with an uphill tee shot, a slanted fairway and a downhill green near the seashore. With breathtaking views from wherever you stand, this course is a pure delight to play and ranks as one of the best fantasy courses around... simply because it looks so real ! Thank you, once again, Kevin Willette for this masterpiece !

Smashing design, loved everything about this. A great layout - reminiscent of the past masters (eg, Mackenzie, Tillinghurst - almost a bizarre blend of the two) yet with its own 'flavour' and character. Looks a real treat, plays likewise, perfect level of difficulty - challenging yet relaxed - it's just a gem from go to whoa. And a great course name - doff of my hat, Mr and Mrs W. Cheers!

Absolutely beautiful and a fun course to play. I know it is a fantasy course, but if it ever becomes a real one, I am going to have to have a cart. Great use of elevation changes, and every hole a fun one.

Just played a Clammies practice round with three buddies. We played on LAN connection and VD which makes the greens and fairways play even faster than offline or lobby/tournament play. The v-texture green speed is too fast for LAN play. I used the same textures in my new course and had to change the greens for this reason. It is playable but wicked.
We also had probs with the elevation changes. If you showed a 3" downhill putt, it looked like you were hitting 2 feet uphill. Sometimes looking very obviously downhill to the camera was uphill. I'm not sure what causes this in 08 and I dont think its your fault or anything you can do about it.
Those were a couple playability issues. HOWEVER I though the course was still AWESOME. The overall design, textures, terrain work, plantings, and bling were terriffic. It flowed well and looked great and realistic. Tough course but fair.
So job well done and keep it up. And testers....dont forget to play on LAN

Just played it in the TWC Expert tour and i have to disagree with most of the comments here,i did'nt like it.I did'nt like the fairways i thought they had no real flow from hole to hole.I thought the greens were alright but nothing to write home about. After reading all the positive comments about this course i was really disapointed.

Outstanding course, Kevin. I loved the 9th tee and the bridges on 15. The railings along the cartpaths are also a nice touch. The pano fits perfect. Great plantings, also. Only problem is frame rates were pretty low in a few spots, but probably more due to my computer than anything. Great job.

Kevin, I liked this course quite a bit. It plays tough and looks terrific. The only thing I would like to mention is that it seems like maybe the greens are over-optimized. Some have what I refer to as "creases" in areas. If they were smoothed once or twice on even the lowest setting, these would change to more realistic smoothing transitions. As they are, the ball tends to roll erratically if it has to roll over one of these "creases." Other than that, fantastic job! Keep them coming!

Kevin, it's great to see how much you continue to improve with each design. Excellent rolling terrain, fairway undulations, tough pot bunkers and challenging greens. A challenging layout and beautiful views throughout make this a pleasure to play. Thanks for the course and for including me in the testing. Keep up the fine work.

Fantastic, as always. A fantasy course that absolutely could be real. Excellent bunker work, my ball has a habit of finding a lot of them. Greens are challenging but fair. This is a must have, thanks much Kevin.

One word - B R I L L I A N T. For those that believe that you cannot get close to realism, just take a look at this one. Take a step back on the tee box on 9 and have a look at the detail put in there. Jurgie you gonna love this one.

Kevin, This is a jewel of a course. Very believable and terrific detail work. Seams between textures are hardly noticable. One of my favorites and a don't miss course.
