Followed Holein1 to this course, and it is just a great test of golf. Won't try to describe what others have described better, but encourage anyone reading this to give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

Revelation, no : confirmation, yes ! If you just want to play one fantasy course, this might be the one ! BGravolicious did it again with a stunning panorama of rocky mountains blending in very well with the landscape, making this course unbelievably realistic... Not only it is visually stunning, but the work done on the rock formations, bunkers, elevated terrain and undulated fairways, not to mention a few slopey greens, is superb. And don't be fooled by its look : this par 72 course is quite tough ! After a nice right dogleg par-4 1st hole, with a downhill slope, big rocks on the left side near the tee box and bunkers near the green, you will reach the risk/reward short left dogleg par-4 3rd hole, where big rocks and bunkers in front of the green might stop you from gambling too much... The following par-5 4th hole is beautiful with its undulated and slanted fairway going slightly downhill to the green, big rocks midway across the fairway and bunkers near the green. After going downhill, the par-4 5th hole, with its rollercoaster fairway, will test you again with its undulated fairway, just like on the approach shot to the green of the right dogleg par-4 6th hole, quite narrow, with a bunker on the right and trees on the left side. As for the right dogleg par-4 7th hole, with its uphill tee shot, downhill green and little waterfalls in the background, and the long downhill par-5 9th (more than 600 yards), with its panoramic view, they look like postcards... On the back 9, there are two more risk/reward holes : the right dogleg par-4 13th hole, with a downhill slope to the green is quite short (320 yards away) but, with a wide bunker in front, you will have to think twice about club selection ; and the left dogleg par-4 14th hole, less than 300 yards, where big trees in the corner should make you shy away from going for broke... If the downhill par-3 15th hole has a beautiful panoramic view of the mountains and the small cascades, the par-5 16th, with its tiered and split fairways and its downhill slope, is simply spectacular and one of the best holes you will ever see, making the nice par-5 17th hole look... ordinary ! And if you need to pray for a last birdie, the par-4 18th hole, slightly uphill to the left, will give you that opportunity : if not, you can ask for help in the nice wooden church, on the right side, near the green... Combining natural beauty and challenging holes, this Revelation course will show you, one more time, how talented BGravolicious really is : so, hurry to download this masterpiece !

If you gave this course less than a five you are a very sad human being.. BG... This course is THE BEST course I have ever played period. OUTSTANDING From the first hole to the last hole my buddy and I could not stop talking about how much effort and time had to have gone into this design. I am sorry I could only give it a Five... MORE PLEASE..

I've been burned by many fantasy courses that used gimmicks to make the course hard. All have to say about Revelation is WOW! A fantastic course that could be designed as a real course. BG. With the skill it took to make this course, I felt the pressure throughout to hit good shots. The course will bite you. Those who play for the first time, you'd better not miss the greens!!! Truly a masterpiece, and now my new favorite course to play on at home. It is a walk through the woods "unspoiled." Thanks for taking the time to design this for us to enjoy.

Wow! Super course with superb pano. I just wish you would try to do a course like Loch Lomond in the Scotish countryside. Your skills would truly do it justice. A definite 'keeper' Excellent.

BG, Just an amazing course. I can honestly say, this must be the best course I've played. Where do I start with this. The design is suberb. The undulations are so natural in relation to the settings. The pano gives the course the finishing touches, and the way you have to play the course makes you stop and think. Blast the ball and you WILL be in deep doo-doo. Finally, the planting is second to none. This course is an A** and a DEFINITE keeper. Thanks for a beauty.

The way we are playing here you might want to throw the clubs in the lake. If you throw the clubs in the lake, you might miss the lake.
No course in the works: retired. |

Very nice work BG. The course offers plenty of reward if you're prepared to take a few risks and the pano is one of the best, if not the best, I've seen. This is a keeper.

Just an amazing course BG....Unlike any other course here...Kinda has the old Highlands feel to it! The pano brings everything together perfectly! The terrain work and bunkering are some of the best I've seen...The shot requirements are different on every hole!! 5 stars my friend...and we all appreciate your time, and Talent....

Great course. Very good fairways with scubby, rocky outcrops. Excellent course lighting set on morning .,fair. Good pano. Must mention the undulations to the fairways., not just ordinary undulations but super undulations. Only reservation was the white, rectangular, large block of white rock behind the green on hole three.,don't think its part of the pano.,its surely not Odin's shoe box. Hope the course gets lots of downloads.

This is just an amazing display of architectural design. Incorporating the rocky terrain into and around the fairways is first rate. The pano and other libs fit this course to a tee and are just beautiful creations. This kind of work just opens the door to all kinds of new creative possibilities in course design. Imaginative course layout and use of various rough textures and other plantings. I really think this is your best work todate and the course itself rates as one of the top designs for 08. Truly a jewel.

Jimi, Re: the Norse Library, I actually saw it while I was looking for structures for my last course and liked it so much I had a "revelation" for this course and basically designed the course around the church. I really appreciate the detail you put into your Libraries and thank you and all the other talented designers who put the structure Libs together.......Thanks

Superb job, BGravolicious. Just what a fantasy course should be like. Imaginative, yet realistic. Loved the way you worked those rock textures into the terrain. Not enough designers realize that you can't just leave a rock surface flat. I must admit I haven't really played it yet, juyst been admiring the views. Btw, I remember doing that Norse library a long time ago by special request, but it was never used. Were you the one who requested it? I don't quite remember. One more designer tip: the libraries that were made for 2007 don't show very well in 2008 unless you put your shader levels to low. Most structure libraries for 2008 (at least the ones that I did, pgax libs as well) are made with the 2002 Library Creator. They show up a whole lot better, even with your shaders set at very high. I checked and I still had all the structures, so I did a new version of the library with the 2002 LC. I can upload it if you like. Your structures would look a whole lot better.

One of the most natural looking courses i've played, but be warned if you spend to much time gazing at the scenery and not concentrating on your game the course will bite you. I really liked the way the pano is pulled into the course by the use of well matched rockwork and textures - great stuff.
