Another scenic and very hilly course from barrylb37, with small mountains as a backdrop, plenty of beautiful tree-lined undulated and/or sloped fairways, steep elevation changes, and quite a few tricky greens. This par 72 starts with the left dogleg par-4 1st hole, with a steep, blind and downhill tee shot over trees and a slightly-downhill second shot to the green (with a gorgeous panoramic view all along), and is followed by the very pretty right dogleg par-4 2nd, with a steep downhill tee shot landing near three small bunkers on the right, halfway (with a wide lake on the right), and a blind approach to the green, near the lake. I also like the two long par-5 holes, the 3rd, uphill all the way, with a fairway bending to the left, then to the right and a green, too far to reach on your second shot, and the left dogleg 5th, with a slightly-uphill tee shot landing downward the sloped fairway, followed by a steep second shot toward the green, hidden and unreachable with plenty of trees on the left side. On the par-3 6th hole, you will get a "breath of fresh air" with its wide open view as your blind tee shot will fly over some big slopes toward the slanted green, before moving on to the par-4 7th, where you will need to hit your tee shot over an uphill and tiered fairway, and follow with a big downhill approach to the green, slightly to the left. Another tricky hole awaits you on the par-4 8th, where you might have to lay up on your blind and steeply-uphill tee shot to avoid landing in one of the three small bunkers across the fairway midway, leaving you with another blind second shot to the elevated green. Then, after the downhill par-3 9th hole, relatively easy, you will move to the back 9, with two gorgeous holes (my favorites), the left dogleg par-5 10th, with a very steep, long (and blind) downhill tee shot and a delicate approach toward the green, way downhill (with its flag, next to a big lake behind), and the par-3 11th hole, with an.. “eagle’s view” (way down) of the lake and its tiny green behind, surrounded by four small bunkers ! On the following right dogleg par-5 12th hole, you will need to hit a big downhill tee shot and hope your ball won’t roll back on the heavily-sloped fairway before hitting a blind and steeply-uphill second shot over some high rough, splitting the fairway across, and aim for the elevated green on your third shot. Then, after the short dogleg par-4 13th hole, uphill all the way, but with a green, sharply to the right, you will face two right dogleg par-4 holes, the 14th, quite tricky with plenty of tall trees on the right, “forcing” you to lay up a little bit by hitting your tee shot to the left (in order to have a clear view of the elevated green), and the 15th, a little bit similar but with an easier tee shot... Finally, after another right dogleg, the par-4 16th hole, uphill all the way, the scenery changes on the last two holes, with the long and nice par-3 17th, with a slanted fairway between the tee and the sloped green, and the left dogleg par-4 18th hole, with a wide and uphill fairway and a few small bunkers on both sides, halfway, and a superb panoramic view as you reach the slightly-uphill green. With breathtaking views all around, and not a single flat hole to... rest, you will have your hands full on this superb fantasy course, designed by barrylb37 !

Just letting you always love coming back to this course. It has some of the same layouts as my local course's Like hole 17 with A bigger valley in the last 100 yards to the hole it looks like hole 15 of the course hart ranch in Rapid City, SD.
Thanks again, Rick

One of my favorites here Barry. I'm always looking for online play with this course. Fun to play with other players. One beautiful course to talk about with other people while trying to shoot birdies. Not an easy course, but very well designed and wonderful elevation work. Textures used flow well together. Thanks for this one.

This one was from the CA. Sometimes I do them from scratch, sometimes I try to find a course in what the program gives me. The nice thing about the ca doing it for you is the point count is easier to keep low.
Next one is from scratch. eta - two weeks.

Really, really dig the elevation changes. Especially love the par 5 dog leg left with the tight green on the water...It's an easy eagle or double bogey depending on yer skill (*luck).
Played great on my mid range rig too. I'm dying to know if you made those elevations or let the CA do em......care to divluge???

Sorry Ronaldo, I just read your earlier post. You already said it plays fine. What's that they say about short term memory?

Ronaldo,
I'm still guessing that it's a sticky lib, maybe a pano that I tried. I don't know how to find out what "lpp" is, though. Doesn't match any that I remember trying. Maybe someone else here can help. I don't have anything installed by that name and it runs fine for me. Did you try to run it anyway?

Over the years I avoided fantasy courses as they just didn't have the course planning laid out well. But I have to admit some of you designers uploading courses here on coursedownloads.com could rank with the best of the real life designers. Barry, you are right up there with the best. The layout is well designed forcing the player to manage his shot making, attention is paid to all details and the scenery is beautiful. Oh how I wish I could play this course in real life. Excellant job. I definitely have to d/l your other courses.

I love Barry's designs, but this one is very taxing for my system. Played three holes and never got the FPS above 25. Most of the time it was between 18 and 22, kind of stuttery. Not sure why, maybe there a too may trees for my P4 to handle. It's a shame too, cause it looks like a bute.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
Textures are Irish Barrens textures, one of my libs.
Ronaldo - Probably a sticky lib, shouldn't cause any problems. I tried a bunch of different clubhouses.
Glad everyone likes the course.
