A pretty and challenging course next to the ocean, with undulating fairways, plenty of sharp doglegs with sparsely-planted palm trees, often in the way of the (mostly) elevated greens, a few water hazards and well-placed bunkers to deal with, and with quite a few short risk/reward holes. On the front 9, I like the par-4 1st hole, with two shots over a serpentine creek needed to reach the elevated green, slightly to the right and guarded by a deep bunker in front, the short right dogleg par-4 3rd, where you can cut the corner and hit your tee shot above a small pond and palm trees in the corner in order to get a closer shot to the green, and the nice left dogleg par-5 4th hole, with a blind tee shot landing near a big lake on the left (in the corner) and a very tough and risky second shot toward the green, with a small pond across in front. The par-3 5th hole is pretty with its panoramic view, but you will have to hit a tough tee shot over an elongated lake to reach the green, before heading for the short right dogleg (around 330 yards) par-4 6th, with a downhill green hard to reach with palm trees and bunkers in front. Then after two left dogleg holes, with elevated greens, you will enjoy the nice par-3 9th, with a tall palm tree, not far from the tee box (slightly on the right) and its downhill green, surrounded halfway by water. On your way back, you will start with the very long (more than 650 yards) par-5 right dogleg 10th hole, with an undulating fairway, split halfway by deep rough and an elevated green, guarded by two deep bunkers on the right (and a smaller one the left), before facing two dogleg par-4 holes (the 11th to the left, and the 12th, downhill to the right), followed by the short (around 320 yards) par-4 13th, with an elevated green, hard to reach from the tee, with a serpentine bunker on the left. The finishing stretch is quite challenging, starting with the pretty uphill par-3 14th hole (with the beach and the ocean as a backdrop), followed by the slightly-uphill right dogleg par-4 15th, quite scenic with a second shot over an elongated lake flowing across the fairway. Then, after the picturesque par-3 16th hole, with a narrow fairway set between palm trees, midway (on the left), and a rocky terrain (mostly on the right), you will move on to another short (around 320 yards) and risky hole, the right dogleg par-4 17th, with an elongated lake across, halfway, and plenty of palm trees in the corner, surrounded by deep rough, hiding the elevated green further away. You will end your round with the beautiful and very challenging par-5 18th hole, with a small creek starting across the fairway, midway, and running all along and past the green on the right, which will give you enough time to “admire” the two small speedboats docked, a little bit apart. Despite its "bare" look, this par 72 is quite nice and offers some unusual sights and challenges, especially with those short holes, where you can easily find yourself in trouble if you push your luck too often trying to reach the greens with your driver...

This course is one of my new favorites...I love the risk reward of the sharp doglegs, that weed rough makes shot placement a must especially when going for some of the greens off the tee. These greens are my new favorites....top shelf.

Not a fan of this one...textures are ugly, pins rollback, and the layout is not my fav...it is well built, shows the designers skill is great, but horrid textures and pins ruin it imo

Hi All:
As a tester for Enguy's designs over the last few years, I have had the priviledge of watching his designing skills improve with each new course I tested for him.
With it's unigue and interesting hole layouts, clear, sharp details in the textures, undulating narrow fairways, some challenging greens, very nice vistas and smooth game play, this recreation of his 2006 course provides a challenging and fun round of golf for players of all levels. In my humble opinion, this course is one of the best that I have played this year. Excellent job, my friend. Very well done.

Thanks for updating this classic Enguy, It was always one of my favorites to play, and you have it looking and playing better than ever, runs smooth a silk, great layout, textures, and super green work (best since Brookstone of 07').

This is one of my all time favorite designs. Very challenging, a great desert layout, some of the hardest par 3s you'll find anywhere (especially #5). Great FPS, and lovely vistas. Thanks Phil, guys like you help keep this game alive.
