An interesting course, with a magnificent desert panorama, some water hazards, a few rocky mounds and a couple of cliffs, undulating fairways, but with some unusual sights on a few holes... This par 73 starts with the nice right dogleg par-5 1st hole, with a tee shot over a few ponds and bunkers in the corner and an elongated lake with a... lighthouse (!) to the left of the fairway a little bit further back, and is followed by the very scenic right dogleg par-4 2nd, with a blind and downhill approach shot landing in the middle of a rocky basin with a small island fairway and an island green, surrounded by a few trees ! The par-4 3rd hole is quite short (about 305 yards), with an undulating fairway and a tiny mound in front of the green, slightly to the right, and with that lighthouse further back on the right. Then, after the par-3 4th hole, with a tee over part of an elongated lake, the par-4 5th is quite picturesque, with a downhill tee shot over meandering creeks left and right, with a few houses near the green on the left. On the other hand, the left dogleg par-4 6h hole, with its downhill tee shot landing onto the slanted fairway between a very high rocky hill on the left, and high cliffs on both sides, is... unreal, as the second house on top (on the left cliff) is dangerously hanging in the air above the cliff ! Fortunately, the short (less than 500 yards) left dogleg par-5 7th hole is nice with a meandering lake on the left, a slanted fairway and a blind second shot to reach the green, just like the par-3 8th, with a green set on a plateau with big bunkers below on the right side, and the par-4 9th hole, pretty straight, with a very undulating fairway, two big elongated bunkers on the left and a lake, with sand all around, on the right. The back 9 starts with the nice left dogleg par-5 10th hole, with an undulating fairway and a long and slightly-downhill second shot to the green, with a small pond in front and to the left, and continues with the short (about 260 yards) par-4 11th, with a blind tee shot over a big rock, downhill all the way to the green, with a few trees and a big pond in front and to the left. The left dogleg par-4 13th is another short hole (about 280 yards), but with a small pond on the left of the green, a little creek on the right and two small bunkers in front, you better play it safe and lay up. The right dogleg par-4 14th hole has a big elongated pond on the left, halfway, and plenty of trees in the right corner hiding the green further back, whereas the right dogleg par-4 15th is quite short (about 270 yards), with a fairway to the left, but you can reach the green with your tee shot over all the trees in front, while making sure to avoid the bunkers in front of the hidden green. After the par-4 16th hole, with a twisting and undulating fairway and a tiny green, with a small elongated pond behind on the right, you will finish with the short (less than 500 yards) left dogleg par-5 18th hole, with a lake on the left (and a small island in the middle) before heading for the big clubhouse behind the green on the left. If the panorama is gorgeous, this Too Many Tiers course is a little bit of a melting pot, mixing realistic holes with some fantasy ones but it offers quite a few challenging holes and is worth playing, thanks to A1stPoet's imagination...
