I don't generally disagree with most folks about a golf course, but this one - a real one - is much like the ones you find in northern Illinois - where I was raised. Wheaton is about 30 miles west of Chicago, and I doubt there is much of a Chicago skyline visible, but if that's all anyone cares about they are misguided. As to the course...molrub said it was almost unplayable expert/very dry/difficult. Well, I'll give him expert, I play advanced. But very dry/difficult played great. Now, I'll admit, when you're approach shot rolls onto the green...and then your ball wanders around for 20 seconds or so...you know what the defense of par amounts to on this one! Adjust your pitching/chipping, because if you don't you'll have a long comeback putt...or chip! Bruce said the lack of comments must mean the course is ok. With all due respects it doesn't. It means a real golf course that hosted majors at the turn of the last century isn't pretty enough, it isn't challenging enough (but don't make the greens too tough because for me to comment I want to score well). Bruce, I love ya, man. Great course, great work, great history of producing works of art. I hope you see this one day.

Hi Bruce, Great course. Plays extremely well. My only problem is that I think that is the Minneapolis skyline, but Chicago.
