Interesting course, considering that the Eiffel Tower and the district of La Defense, on the west outskirts of Paris, are not easy to reproduce… This par 72 starts with a dogleg par-4 1st hole, with a nice house on the right side of the tee box and an uphill blind approach shot to the green, next to a beautiful winding small road/path, but it is not until the dogleg par-4 4th hole, which follows a small river bending to the right, that you will see the Eiffel Tower and the business district. YOu will see it again, teeing off from the par-4 8th hole, slightly on your right far away, before reaching the par-4 9th, not too difficult but with a downhill tee shot next to a big lake on the left side. On the back 9, the right dogleg par-4 12th hole is quite short (about 325 yards) but you can't see (and reach) the green, next to the lake, as it is partially hidden by trees in the right corner halfway through. On the par-4 14th hole, with the Paris panorama facing you, you will have to be careful with your tee shot to avoid landing in a big lake halfway, before trying to reach the green on the other bank, slightly to the right. If the right dogleg par-4 15th hole is similar to the 12th, it is a litttle big longer and has no trees, giving you a clear view of the green, next to the lake on the right, whereas the left dogleg par-5 16th hole, not too difficult, has a very wide and nice peninsula green... With its wide-open look and very few trees, this Paris course is not too challenging and is not the best designed by Chimaera but, with the Eiffel Tower visible on a few holes, you might want to give it a shot...

Very nice job on this track jimi, it's nice to see a course without a million trees on it, once in a while.

I don't mean that in a bad way, I just mean, I know how things can be missed, and it helps to have another set of eyes sometimes. I would be glad to help in the future, just hollar.
Peace

I just installed it the old way, with the course utility. Got it working. It was worth the effort as this is a world class course.

The quote marks in the course name were the problem. I have reuploaded the course with a hex edited TCR course file that removes the quote marks. This will make the course so it can be installed using the TW Caddie program. I did check to make sure that editing the course file does not affect the GUID of the course. So if someone downloaded the course earlier and installed using CLSetup or Course Utilities, they will be able to play online against someone that installs this edited file.
If you downloaded the course earlier and had problems installing it, please redownload the course.

I believe it is because the architect used quote marks when the course was named. The TW Caddie program creates a course folder based on the name contained in the course TCR file. Since folders cannot contain quotes, I believe that is the problem. I will see if I can edit the TCR file with a hex editor to remove the quote marks and see if that fixes the problem. If so, I will upload a revised version.
