If this par 71 looks nice with its fall foliage as a panorama, its small fences framing the tee boxes, along with its smooth fairways and pretty serpentine paths, it also has some challenging holes, with subtle elevation changes and quite a few tricky greens.
After the left dogleg par-4 1st hole, slightly uphill all the way (and with a small windmill, midway on the right), the par-3 3rd is pretty with an uphill tee shot toward the green, just like the dogleg par-4 4th, with a tee shot over a small gazebo and an elevated green.
Then, after the straight par-3 5th, you will face two consecutive right dogleg par-5 holes, the 6th, with a downhill approach to the green, guarded by two small bunkers in front, and the 7th, with deep rough splitting the fairway, two-thirds of the way, and two more bunkers guarding the green.
The back 9 offers more variety, starting with the right dogleg par-4 10th hole, with a tee shot over deep rough landing onto a narrow fairway and an uphill approach to the elevated green, and continuing with the par-4 12th, with a couple of trees, midway, partially hiding the winding fairway, and an elevated green, set slightly to the left.
Later on, two consecutive par-5 holes await you, with my favorite being the dogleg 14th, bending sharply to the right, with a blind tee shot over a big bush, and a bunker right in front of the flag to watch for, followed by two par-3 holes in a row, with the 16th having a big slope near the cup.
Last, but not least, you will walk over to the left dogleg par-4 17th hole, uphill all the way and with a tee shot over deep rough and a few trees, landing onto a narrow fairway (framed by two bunkers in the corner), before completing your round with the right dogleg par-4 18th, with a nice panoramic view as you hit your downhill tee shot.
However, despite its visual appeal and some very tricky pin placements (where you might have to bring your "A(ce) game" to get close to the flags), I found the par-3 holes, especially, too similar, and the areas between the course and the panorama, too grainy, which is why I... chose not to keep this Dealer's... choice, designed by Big Slick !

I agree. Not sure why there's not more comments because this is a visual beauty to play. On occasion the greens are a tad tricked up but you don't want it to be too easy. I loved this course. Going to stay on my hard drive for awhile. Thanks Slick! Great job!
