Unlike its name, this course is not a crazy one, but an interesting one... Even though it does not have breathtaking views, it does have some nice small snow-capped mountains as a backdrop, a few elevated greeens, lots of holes next to the river (with beautiful small bridges), and can be quite tricky with some out-of-bound wastelands and/or dry riverbeds. This par 73 plays very smoothly, but the landscape is quite bare with few trees, some big bunkers, but without any bushes and/or flowers. On the front 9, my favorite holes are the par-4 2nd, with the green on the other bank of the river running left, then flowing across the fairway, the short (about 310 yards) par-4 6th hole, quite scenic with its twisted dry riverbeds on both sides of the fairway, and the par-4 8th, quite similar, with a big dry riverbed on the left side and two big bunkers on the right side. As for the left dogleg par-5 9th hole, you will need a big tee shot to fly over the river and a long uphill approach shot to reach the green in order to see the old house nearby... The par-5 10th hole, with the river crossing the fairway in the middle, is not difficult but can be tricky as you will have to think about what club to use to tee off to avoid getting wet. The par-4 11th hole, on another hand, has a nice overview of the river on the right of the green with the mountains as a backdrop, and is followed by two dogleg par-4 holes, the 12th, with the river crossing the fairway on the right, and a small lake encircling part of the green, and the 13th, with the river hugging the fairway all the way to the green, with a big elongated bunker on the left side. On the short (about 315 yards) par-4 14th hole, you will have to be careful to avoid landing in the dry riverbed on the right side, unlike on the "cute", but easy, par-3 15th, with its nice tee shot over a hollow wasteland and a small pond on the right side of the green. The last three holes are not too difficult : the par-5 16th hole, with the river on the left, has a slanted fairway, the par-4 17th hole has the river crossing the fairway halfway and the par-4 18th hole will take you to that old house again... In short, a nice little course, not too challenging or spectacular but fun to play, thanks to Chimarea Design !
P.S. There is a little white horizontal line blinking in the horizon on a lot of holes, especially on the front 9, worth mentioning...
