Brilliant design - regardless of the nitpicking - this was pure TW08 joy! Beautiful setting, sound, layout, play.. all that was missing was a glass of Bordeaux, crackers and wedge of Camembert. I enjoyed every hole but 1, 9 and 10 were the sweetest. Not that difficult but I don't mind racking up a great score now and then :D It's a lovely course and top-shelf design, cheers!

This well-trimmed golf course plays very nicely offering a variety of obstacles with doglegs, water hazards, well-place bunkers and tiny or wider greens. A couple of nice holes on the front 9 (the par-3 2nd hole and the par-5 9th) but the back 9 offers more challenges with the par-4 13th and 15th - my favorite, along with the beautiful par-5 18th hole leading to the clubhouse. A definite keeper for me. Nice work, ron717 !

I downloaded this course a while ago and played it many times until I saw the French Open on TV a couple of weeks ago. While the fairways, bunkers and greens all have the correct shape, I was surprised by the elevation changes on the real course. They are much more severe than your design. Also, the rough is much deeper than what you put, especially once you stray 20 feet out of the fairways. The splash screen - which is splendid - gives a right idea of what the course looks like...

Just had my first opportunity to play this course. As the comments indicate it is well designed with no major surprises and is fun to play. I will say one thing though, if anyone is wondering where all the birds in Europe go for the Summer, I think I know. ;-)

After having watched the event on tv this year i was wondering if anyone would do this one. It looked like a fabulous inland links course. The only thing i would have liked to have seen on your rendition was a bit more variation in the textures, a little more autumn, dry grasses etc would have really captured the essence of the course, but all in all a great rendition of one of the very few Euro courses.
