A very pleasant course, quite pretty with its green countryside, sparse trees and colorful flowers, but not too challenging (give or take a few water holes), despite its par 75, with (mostly) wide open fairways and (often) flat greens. After a nice par-3 1st hole, with an elongated bunker in front (and on the left) of the green (and pretty flowers behind), you will face the par-5 2nd, where you should have your first eagle opportunity if you can manage to avoid the two elongated bunkers on the sides of its slightly-elevated green. Two consecutive par-5 holes will offer you more eagle chances : the 4th is straight, with a fairway, next to a wide lake on the left, but quite narrow, midway, with a big elongated bunker (parallel to the water) and trees on the right, whereas the 5th hole is a left dogleg, around a wide lake on the left, where you can cut the corner with a tee shot over a lone tree in order to get a much closer approach to the green... But my favorite hole on the whole course is the pretty and quite challenging left dogleg par-4 7th, with nice flowers and trees near a wide lake on the left, over which you will have to hit a very risky approach to reach its tiny island green, with a beautiful arched wooden bridge behind... You will then have time to admire the pretty but not too difficult par-3 9th hole, with a small lake (and a nice fountain in the middle) behind the green, next to a big clubhouse. Coming back, you will enjoy the right dogleg par-5 11th hole, with a tee shot over a few trees in the corner, landing near a big elongated bunker, behind, before hitting your approach slightly downward to the green, and the other par-5 13th, with a valley below all along the fairway on the left, and a tricky approach over the lake to reach the green. Another very pretty and risk/reward hole - and one of my favorites - is the straight par-4 14th, where you will have to hit a very accurate tee shot over a wide lake to reach its sloped green, set between a big elongated bunker in front (on the edge of the water) and four small bunkers behind, before finishing with three easier holes, and the right dogleg par-4 18th, slightly uphill all the way, and whose green is near the clubhouse. As PhilT pointed out, time flies quickly when you are having fun and this Twin Oaks course is quite enjoyable to play, especially if you can "bag" quite a few eagles on those par-5 holes on this well-designed course by nich !
