A pretty course with a nice panorama of the bay and its lighthouse, and fun to play with plenty of doglegs with water hazards and some well-placed bunkers near the greens. Even though the front 9 has a few similar right dogleg holes (the par-4 1st, with an approach downward to the green, next to a wide lake on the right, the par-4 3rd and the par-4 6th, with ponds, halfway around behind the green or, in front, on the latter), this par 71 has some great holes, such as the par-3 2nd, with a tee shot over the lake landing onto a peninsula green, or the left dogleg par-5 4th, with wide and elongated bunkers all along (midway and in front of the green), and a nice view of the bay and the lighthouse, further back. But my favorite hole on the front 9 is the gorgeous par-3 5th, with a tee shot over an elongated lake and a green, looking like an island (with a nice panoramic view), even though the left dogleg par-4 7th hole is nice too, with its fairway hugging a lake (on the left) and its green offering another pretty view of the bay. The back 9 is even prettier and more challenging, starting with the scenic left dogleg par-4 10th hole, with a tee shot over a crescent-shaped lake, and continuing with the par-3 11th, with a tee shot over deep rough and shrubs landing onto a green, surrounded by three elongated bunkers. The left dogleg par-5 12th hole also stands out, with its slanted fairway, midway, and a long second shot to reach the green, surrounded by a tiny pond (on the left) and deep rough and bunkers, just like the par-3 13th, looking like a postcard, with its small elongated pond diagonally in front of the small green, and the very short (less than 110 yards) par-3 16th, with deep rough and shrubs all the way to the green, guarded by a tiny pond in front. Last, but not least, the right dogleg par-5 17th hole is quite scenic with a tee shot landing downhill past a small mound midway, and a risky and long second shot toward its island green, with an elongated bunker and a few small rocks (on the right) to watch for. Standing on the tee box of the right dogleg par-4 18th hole, looking at the big lake (on the right), I could not help thinking that this Harbor Port GCC course could have looked even better without those three similar holes on the front 9, but that is a minor point considering that skydoral designed a very enjoyable course, with a few gazebos and some pretty houses to gaze at.

A very nice course with one or two very minor improvements to make.
Your feedback is unbalanced BULLPUP imo. 'Inexcusableable' on a course designed for free? Come on now, really. Some people have no idea how to use diplomacy in the words they choose.

Well I might sound like a jerk here but just trying to help. I thought after your last reciew you might have taken some advise.
#1 problem is bunkers. The spikes around the lips IMO are unexcusable. They were obviously done with the two shape method and not smoothed at all. The color combination was odd too.
#2 Tee's are not even close to being flat. Another unexcusable problem tht is easy to fix.
Those are the main easy to fix problems.
Other less critical mentionables. Greens were rather flat although a couple were extreme and nearly unplayable on very dry. Car paths were sloppy (gaps). Trees planted on paths. Numerous spikes/tears that need smoothing. The rocks were all the same type, size , direction, and too uniform. Same with some of the planting.

No matter how you spell it, Lyle, Skydoral's courses are always fantastic. I'm heading to the 'Allinone' ladder (listed on the main page) to check it out with some friends.
