I follow Holein1 a lot, his opinion rates with me. But unlike Holein1, I don't pay much attention to detail...just the landing spot, the green the flag! But playing Centennial I thought maybe I should look around a bit...so I did...ended up in horrible places! Great course, lots of ways to end up in trouble, I found most of them. I'll leave the descriptive portion to others, just say it's a great course, enjoy. Don't look around too much, you'll find places you don't want to be.

What an incredible course, designed by Bobby Bolin, way back… in 2008, where you will have to bring your camera and hiking shoes to fully enjoy it ! This par 70 has some breathtaking views with snow-capped mountains as a backdrop and some vertiginous holes, especially on the back 9, with hardly any “flat” holes to rest for a while… The spectacular right dogleg par-4 1st hole sets the tone right away with a blind and steep downhill tee shot and a big pond on the right of the green, and is followed by the par-3 2nd and its frightening optical illusion, with a… wall of trees right in front of the tee box, until you realize that the green is way below with a big pond across ! The right dogleg par-4 3rd hole is superb too : uphill all the way, with a scary suspended bridge (on the right) to cross and a green, close to a big ravine on the right ! And what about the tough and beautiful par-4 4th hole ? With snow-capped mountains facing the tee, a steep downhill tee shot with a big bunker in the middle below and a little creek further down (with a very nice bridge made of bricks), and a small green, further downhill, surrounded by four bunkers, you will have your hands full… Thankfully, the dogleg par-4 5th hole will give you a little relief as it is the only hole on flat land, following the serpentine river on the left and with a green, close to it, with plenty of bunkers around ! The next gorgeous hole is the par-3 7th, with a beautiful and tiny island in front of the tee box (with colorful flowers), along with a little bridge on the left side, and two big CV initials between the tee and the wide green, at the bottom of a hilltop, covered with trees... The next two holes are quite nice too : the right dogleg par-5 8th hole requires a steep downhill tee shot, with big bunkers below the fairway in the right corner (and more above on the left), and is followed by an uphill approach shot to the green, whereas the downhill right dogleg par-4 9th has a spectacular clubhouse on a hilltop behind the elevated green. The back 9 starts with a blind uphill tee shot on the left dogleg par-10th hole, quite short (about 340 yards), landing on a plateau and is followed by a steep downhill approach shot to the green, on the other bank of a very big pond ! The left dogleg par-4 11th hole, on another hand, is very steep, all the way to the elevated green, and the par-3 12th goes down, then up, with a lone small house and a very nice… waterwheel behind the green. The par-5 13th requires two shots over hollow wastelands (covered with trees) and has plenty of bunkers on the right side midway through, with a green, slightly to the right, quite tricky to reach as the slope below is quite steep. Then, after a nice “break” with the downhill dogleg par-4 14th hole, and its lake on the left side, you will be able to take another… break while looking at your tee shot flying sky high on the straight, but “scary”, steep downhill par-4 15th, with five puzzle-like big bunkers spread on both sides of the fairway and near the green ! If you think the 15th hole is scary, wait until you see the short (less than 300 yards) par-4 16th, with the fairway very close to a big cliff (and a small river below on the right side), and the beautiful and steep downhill par-3 17th hole, with a green partially hidden by trees on the cliff below with nice flowers on the other side ! Fortunately, seeing the nice and straight downhill par-4 18th hole, with a little gazebo on a tiny island (with a small covered bridge on the left side), and a steep uphill approach shot to the green (with the clubhouse above), will give you enough strength to finish your round, and applaud Bobby Bolin for this great course, still superb, years later…

Fun course, Bobby. Lots of imagination with the elevation changes and varied hole layouts. Really liked the bunkering throughout, but especially on the 8th hole. Clever use of the CDA textures on the 7th hole. :) Nice work -- look forward to your next design.

This is the best course I've played. Great elevations, just hard enough to keep you thinking, nice eye candy, a delight to play. Thanks for all your time (I know you spent some)creating this wonderful course.

Don't let the wide open spaces on most of these holes fool you. This couse you have to pay attention, otherwise, the hitting into trouble and you will pay for it in strokes. Shotmaking is a premium, and although two par 4's are reachable on the drive, water awaits those who miss. Elevations great. Shot paths right on. The experience is added by stunning Panos and great features, such as the footbridge and waterwheel building. And with only 2 Par 5's, you are better off to lay up on you second shot on both of them. Great job on course, very playable and the risk/rewards are properly placed here.1

Beautiful job on this course Bobby! Visually stunning with the use of great course objects, structures and such. Very imaginative hole layouts and great elevation changes make this course a lot of fun to play not to mention a real adventure. I could'nt belong to this golf club cause I could'nt afford the golf balls needed to play a round. Lol. One little graphic issue that I experienced especially on the front nine, was a considerable amount of tree flash with the shader level set to low. Anyway, a fantastic piece of work.

Tried the course out this morning. Really nice layout. No lag. I did see some of the trees with white behind them like they were on a painters canvas though. Other than that really nice.

Boy for a guy that quit designing you sure came back strong. This Course plays real smooth. A good test of golf with great views abound. Keep on rolling Bobby B.
