Really should have been called The Links at Gettysburg to begin with, IMHO.

Another course well designed and fun to play. With nice plantings, lots of water to deal with, high rough at times and bunkers to keep you "company", you will enjoy this course. I like the first 3 holes with doglegs on the first 2 (with a preference for the 2nd hole) and the nice rock textures used on the straight par-3 3rd and the par-4 8th holes, but my favorite hole is the par-5 7th, a dogleg to the right with water on both sides of the fairway. On the back 9, the two par-3 12th and 15th holes are nice visually and on the two par-4 13th and par-5 14th, even though they look alike, you will have to be careful about the water on the left side. Overall, a nice course to keep with the Blue Ridge mountains in the background...

Thanks for letting my play your course! I want second what was said about the greens and the way they are sloped. This is the kind of course we have in the Blackhills of SD. Great job!

I have to say Joe that in my opinion this is your best design yet. A couple of things stand out for me in this design that really give it a lot of appeal. First of all, your greens have some nice undulations which your greens in earlier designs did not have. I love the subtle elevation changes not just in the immediate fairways but also in the terrain that appears in the background and borders the actual course. I also do not ever remember seeing those particular rock textures that you used on the front nine to create the cliffs and plateau like rises. They are very natural looking and really add to the character of the course itself. A real gem in every sense of the word and a definite keeper for me. BTW, nice looking and well placed housing as well.

Pretty course, nice eye candy, etc. But, a relativly easy course playing with deep rough, normal winds, tournament tees, i shot a 1st time round of -7 under. Next time ill definately have to throw some wind in there & make the greens very dry & see what that does to help toughen it up. Overall though, nice job. (like to see them Pa. courses also,me being a keystone state boy)
