Unlike the name of this course, I will not... whisper ! Instead, with a very nice snow-capped mountainous panorama and hilly landscape, this par 72 plays very smoothly and is quite eye-pleasing. The first three holes are quite nice in their own way : the left dogleg par-4 1st, with a big meandering creek flowing left then across the fairway and, again near the green, the par-3 2nd with a meandering creek in front of the tee box and on the left side (and plenty of medium weeds in the middle of the fairway), and the par-5 3rd hole, with small mounds on the left side of the fairway, a small pond hidden in the corner on the right, and plenty of high weeds and a couple of bunkes near the green on the left side. But my favorite hole on the front 9 is the long and right dogleg par-5 7th, with a blind uphill tee shot landing on a downhill slope with high weeds and a few rocks in the middle of the fairway, and an uphill tee shot. On the back 9, I like the scenic par-4 11th hole with its downhill slope and big patches of high weeds on both sides on the fairway and its nice panoramic view as you reach the green and the sharp dogleg to the right par-5 13th hole, with it sloped fairway, mounds on the right side and trees hiding the green : in fact, this hole is turning so sharply to the right that the "fly by" camera seems to be completely lost ! Other noteworthy holes are the par-3 16th, with a deep lake halfway through and high weeds on the left siden not far from the green and the nice and short dogleg par-4 18th hole, with a slanted fairway and a small lake on the left side. Overall, this course is well designed and could have been even more enjoyable for me, if I did not see (just like on the Hallamshire Golf Club, which I just reviewed), some grainy patches between the horizon and the plot on quite a few holes (par-3 5th, and the par-4 6th, 8th and 14th holes). But that does not take away the nice job done by barrylb37...

An excellent course from one of my favorite designers! Great layout winding its way through nice terrain work. Lots of variety in the holes requiring some creative shot-making. Beautiful pano blends in perfectly. This ones a keeper! Thanks Barry.

Hey Barry, nice to see a new pano introduced, it compliments this course well. Excellent rough textures in conjunction with nice elevation changes, fairway undulations and very interesting but fair greens. A course that is fun to play from start to finish. Simply put, a very commendable design.

Maybe your best yet Barry, well done. One of the most realistic fantasy courses out there.
