An enjoyable course with nice tree-lined fairways and quite challenging, at times, with a few blind (and slightly-uphill) tee shots over deep rough, and with plenty of water hazards but with smooth and wide greens. After starting with some “easy” holes (the right dogleg par-4 1st, uphill all the way, and the par-3 3rd, with trees on the left partially hiding the green), you will face plenty of water as you move along. It will start with the right dogleg par-4 5th hole, bending sharply around a wide lake, with a blind tee shot over deep rough and a tough second shot over the water to reach the green, and continue with the par-3 6th, with a blind tee shot over more tall grass and part of the lake, and a green, set on its bank. On the left dogleg par-4 7th hole, after landing your tee shot near a wide lake (on the right), you will have to hit a risky approach over another lake to get to the green, before finishing with the very long (more than 650 yards) right dogleg par-5 9th, with another wide lake behind the green to watch for. More water comes into play on the way back, with the right dogleg par-4 12th hole, with a tough second shot around trees hiding the green (set on the edge of a lake), the par-3 13th, with a tee shot over a lake landing onto a wide green (with an elongated bunker on the left) and, to a lesser extent, with the left dogleg par-5 14th, with a very long second shot toward the green (with a wide lake behind). Then, after the right dogleg par-4 15th hole, and its tee shot over deep rough landing past a wide lake (on the right) and its green, set next to another lake (on the left), you will get a “break” with the short left dogleg par-5 17th, with its fairway hugging a wide lake (on the right), where you should be able to putt for an eagle after reaching the green with a slightly-uphill approach over the water (branching out in front), before hitting one last challenging approach over the wide lake to reach the green on the right dogleg par-4 18th hole. Pretty to look at, this Westfield Country Club course plays smoothly and if you are patient enough while facing all those water holes, you should be rewarded with a nice scorecard on this well-designed layout by Sohail...

Wow, the grounds keepers must be on strike. The course looks great, but there is far too much deep rough for my taste.
