After just finishing reviewing the Cebu City course, I decided I would extend my stay and play the Cebu island course... This par 73 (unlike the par 71 City course) is another gorgeous piece of work by rlslay, quite different with the front 9 having lots of palm-tree-lined fairways, whereas the back 9 is more wide-open with fewer trees. After a nice par-4 1st hole, a right dogleg with plenty of palm trees, the short par-5 3rd is quite interesting, curving to the right then to the left. The following par-3 4th hole is very scenic and has a downhill green surrounded by trees, and the par-5 6th hole, short like the 3rd, has trees in the middle of the fairway near the green. But my favorite holes are the par-4 7th, a right dogleg with a sloped fairway going dowhhill to the green, and the left dogleg par-3 8th hole, where you will need to hit a blind tee shot over trees to land on the green with nothing around to look at, except the gorgeous ocean. The back 9 starts with a short, but beautiful, par-3 10th hole, with a peninsula green and continues with the par-4 11th, with its bottleneck fairway near the downhill green. On the short par-5 13th hole, you will have to decide whether to hit the fairway on the left or on the right : either way, you should be OK, but the sight of the serpentine creek running on the left side of the fairway and the very tiny green will make you sweat for fear of ending up... wet ! Finally, the right dogleg par-5 15th hole is quite interesting too with a couple of ponds right in the corner of where your tee shot will land and a very bare green facing the sea. In short, another course to add to my collection and, hopefully, to yours, thanks to rlslay's amazing work... and talent !

I think this has the lowest rating I've seen for one of your courses, but it's still a 5* for me, Rob - I love 'em all...
