A challenging par 72, pretty to look at (despite the ocean looking so-so !), with quite a few shots over the cliffs, the sandy beach and/or the valley, and with some wind-swept trees (along with a few bunkers) next to the greens), making your approaches even more crucial. The nice par-4 1st hole is a perfect example, with a drive over the water splitting the cliffs and an elevated green (guarded by a few bunkers in front), just like the par-3 2nd, with a downhill tee shot over a few trees, two-thirds of the way, landing onto a green, set on a hilltop above the ocean. After the left dogleg par-4 3rd hole, and its sloped fairway and blind approach over a few trees below to reach the green, you will move on to the pretty par-3 4th, with a green on the edge of the cliffs, with more trees in front (to the left) and two bunkers (to the right). Two right dogleg par-4 holes follow, with my favorite being the 5th, with a tee shot over the beach, landing onto a narrow fairway, and an elevated green. The par-4 7th hole is straight and slightly-uphill, with a fairway along the ocean (on the right) and a blind approach over some shrubs and a couple of trees to get to the green, just like the par-5 8th, with a tee shot over a couple of trees and bunkers, midway, and a green, set above the ocean, hard to reach on your second shot (watch out for an OB in the rough !). If the front 9 is next to the ocean, the back 9 is more inland, starting with the straight par-5 10th hole, with its winding fairway and a couple of rocks, in front of the slightly-elevated and narrow green (with a big ditch below on the right), and continuing with the tough par-4 11th, with a tee shot flying past a wide ravine (filled with trees) and landing past quite a few elongated bunkers on the hilltop and a downhill approach to the green. Then, after the right dogleg par-4 12th hole, with a tee shot over a shallow valley and an elevated green, you will face some pretty and challenging holes, such as the picturesque par-4 15th, with a second shot over an elongated lake, and the par-3 16th, back the other way, with water again (on the right). Finally, if you can survive the par-4 17th hole, along the ocean (on the right) and with a tee shot over quite a few mounds – a little bit unreal - and a very tough approach to the green (set above the cliffs with a couple of trees behind), you will enjoy the beautiful but scary right dogleg par-5 18th, with a tee shot over the ocean landing onto a fairway (with quite a few small mounds around), and a long approach to the green, at the tip of the cliff, and with a pretty small house, right behind. Overall, if this Maya Malai Golf Links course could look even better with a few minor adjustments, you should have fun playing this course, thanks to ganesh's imaginative designe !

I played this in one rd on tour, and it's a cool course. Not sure if I'm going to be able to play all my rds because of time constraint in RL these days... :(
Got some great views, and had some cool layouts on the holes that where very interesting indeed. Good job with bringing them trees in play on some of the holes, made for some intresting shots, and I personally like this on a course. You did a nice job with it, and the only thing I noticed that you might want to watched for with future releases. Is there where some OB in the straight shot line to the green, and a few OB where very close to the green too. Never should have OB on straight line to pin unless it's water or something so nasty there isn't much chance to get the ball out or so close to playing area. I even learned how blocking a view of the course can help with performance while playing this course. While on the mountain water cliff side, my FPS where crazy high, but when in the open seeing more of the course, I noticed they dropped some. So this got me trying and testing some thing with blocking views with tress on my course I've been working on. Thanks for the cool designing lesson while playing this course buddy. I would recommend anyone who enjoys a cool rd to play this course. It's done cool, and has some great view, and it gave me a vibe of some island you would see close to Australia or somewhere in that part of the world. This gave a cool real like vibe to my rd indeed.
Thanks for your time while making this course Squirrely

Very nice course indeed. Just played 4 rounds on the Novice CDT and am very impressed. I often forget holes the instant I play them, but some of the holes have a very distinct character: those long holes where you have to drive over the water and the Par 3 17th are standouts for me.

I have to say that this is one of the best and most fun courses I have played in some time. I tried it because it is coming up on the CDT schedule, and I have to say they picked a great tourney course. Beautiful, tough and fair. Have fun with this one!
