This course kind of through me for a loop David. Looking at the logo, I was expecting a wasteland desert course somewhere in North Africa. Instead, the course looks more like an Arizona High Desert course. You did not specify as to wether this course was intended as a fantasy course or a fictional course design. I distinguish between the two in the following way. A fantasy course is one that has exaggerated terrain, elevations, undulations and a lot of course objects which you would never see on a real golf course. The fictional design is as the name suggests, a course that is not based on any existing one but is designed in such a manner that it actually could exist. Having said that, I would have to summize that this is another fantasy course. If this was someones first design, I would have to say that this was a reasonably good effort. Comming from the guy that just released the Coral Green Giant, I would have to say that this design is somewhat of a dissappointment. Several things were a distraction to me playing this course. I did not care for the sculptured pristine looking fairways and the rough as it simply ran up the embankments. It just didn,t fit the rest of the terrain. That in itself gave the course a definite fantasy look. This terrain is a Course Superintendants nightmare. The small ponds in the fairways just layed in thesese sculpured little holes with the fairway running right to the waters edge. A lot of the greens were unaturally contoured, and shots through canyon like opening were far too repetitious for my liking. Sponsor plackards as well as the standing time piece which you would frequently see on a UK course, just seemed out of place here. I was left with the destinct impression that this design was kind of a rush job. Anyway, it certainly did not showcase your design abilities. Sorry David, but Im gonna have to pass on this one.
