Not a difficult course, very calming, everything flew and rolled true as far as I could tell, it reminded me of sneaking out all by myself to play a round of golf on a really nice, local golf course - even with the crowd noise turned on. Maybe next time I'll turn it off and listen to some music while I play! Thanks for the course, Engguy, and all your work on it.

Nice and "peaceful" course, set in England’s countryside, with smooth rolling green hills and a few trees around undulated fairways. This par 70 looks easy but can be tricky, at times, with some short par-4 holes, where club selection is crucial, and with a couple of putts hard to read. On the front 9, I like the long (more than 610 yards) and straight par-5 1st hole, with nice wooden barns on the left side of the tee box and with a big bunker, right in the middle of the fairway, the short (about 320 yards) and straight par-4 2nd, where the elevated green is hard to reach with your driver, and the cute par-3 3rd hole, with a little wooden house on the right side and some nice vegetation around ! The par-4 4th is another short downhill hole (about 340 yards), with small logs surrounding the tee area, and a few mounds in front the green, slightly to the right, unlike the left dogleg par-4 5th, where trees in the corner hide a small pond further behind. I also like the par-3 7th hole, with a tee shot over two small ponds, and the dogleg par-4 8th, with a u-shaped pond in front near the tee area, and a green, slightly uphill and to the left. On the back 9, the par-3 11th hole, with its elevated green and a couple of trees around, and the par-4 12th, with a small pond and a tiny island in the middle, an undulated fairway and a lone house behind the elevated green, are quite pretty. One of the most picturesque holes, however, is the downhill par-3 16th, with a little fence and some trees on the left of the tee box, a serpentine path on the right and another little barn on the left of the green. The last two holes are nice too : on the par-4 17th, with an elongated pond in the middle of the fairway, you can hit your tee shot either way and you will still have a clear view of the elevated green, whereas on the par-5 18th hole, slighlty downhill all the way, you will have to hit a long approach shot to reach the green, to the right, while making sure to avoid the small pond in front. With sparse, but nice, plantings, this Hearts of England course is very pleasant to play while not being overly difficult ; and, yes, it would have looked even better without those camera towers, but it is still another Engguy's course to keep !
