This course is quite interesting with its wide-open look, its nice panorama, including a lighthouse far away, its high rough, water hazards and its… thin trees ! On the front 9, I like the pretty par-3 3rd hole, with nice fences bordering the fairway on the right side next to a big lake, and the downhill par-5 5th hole, with a nice little bridge and a tough approach shot to the green, partially hidden by a few thin trees. Similarly, the dogleg to the left par-4 6th hole has trees hiding the view of the fairway from the tee. The par-3 7th hole is quite picturesque with the lighthouse facing the tee and with water surrounding the green, located at the tip of a narrow fairway. The slightly uphill par-4 8th hole is pretty too, with a meandering river flowing across the fairway and below a small bridge, but is quite risky as you will have to think twice about club selection to avoid landing in the water. As for the downhill par-5 9th hole, you can reach the green on your second shot, but it won't be a gimme ! The back 9 is quite different with plenty of... thin trees blocking the views of the greens, starting with the downhill right dogleg par-4 10th hole. The next three holes (par-4 11th, 12th and the downhill par-5 13th ) have a small river flowing along or across the fairways until you reach the downhill right dogleg par-5 16th hole, one of the toughest, where trees, once again, block the view of the green. As a matter of fact, you can get penalized for being out of bounds if you land very close to them. The last par-3 18th hole will "offer" you one last chance of testing your accuracy as, you guessed it, trees are in the way ! Needless to say, this par 72 course is quite a bit unusual at times as some players have noticed but, nevertheless, it is pleasant to look at and quite challenging, thanks to eppediad's great work !

Read all the comments from bottom up and until I read Munroco`s comment - I thought I was living in a different world. I like to be positive - so in that endeavor I agree this is a fantasy course - probably even fanciful. Agree fully with Munroco - not my cup of tea.

Too many holes with trees on the shot paths for me, very hard to see where you were supposed to hit and get a shot to the green, sorry but not my cup of tea.

The gold standard of fantasy courses. Difficult but fair ... requires a lot of course management. Outstanding effort!

Aside from the fact that this course has great eye appeal what I really love about it is the fact that it forces you to think about shot making. Absolutely essential here if you are going to score well. The undulated fairways and smallish greens make tthe course somewhat tricky but not tricked up. It has a very natural and realistic feel to it. I will go as far as to say that I have from a technical standpoint never seen a better designed course in any of the TW platforms. Everything on the course is logically where it should be. Not really suprising, when you consider who the designer is. Not only would this make a great tour course but would also serve as great visual aid in great course design for new and upcomming designers. Superb job eppie!

Stillwater is a masterpiece in design work, from the elevation changes to tree placement around the greens and the shot choices this course gives you this is a players course. Every hole had its own unique challanges and gives you a real mental workout. This course is playable strong very dry. Gave it a 4. Excellent design, you can tell that lots of time and effort went into this course. Not realistic enough for me, but then it is a fantasy design afterall. Great job, well done.

Great job with elevations, plantings and fencing ... love the rock outcroppings and the marshy look of the water areas. Thanks for letting me try out the beta version ... I really like the modifications to the course, especially the 12th hole. Another fine design, Rick!

Well eppie I have to say that this is a blue ribbon course. Its been awhile since I really enjoyed playing a course like I did this one. Plenty of challenge and maybe one of the most beautiful courses Ive seen to date, and Ive been around since 2004. I look forward to any designs you create in the future!
