A little like a mountain type course Some nice tee shots and well placed water hazards. At times it looked like a fantasy course.Well worth the green fees

Kudos for a design that has a unique look and atmosphere about it. It certainly is not run of the mill so as to speak. However, in my opinion it does not hold a candle to your Brickyard Crossing creation which I feel is one of the top customs in 08. Nobody has mentioned this in any of the comments, so I have assume no one cares or everyone played a different Black Rock than I did. More noticeable on the back nine than on the front there are numerous places floating trees , bushes, bridges as well as tee markers. I have not seen this in any other of your designs and I know you are a quality designer. These abnormalities might be due to some of the severe terrain on this course. Whatever it is, other than mediocre water textures, floating stuff is an immediate turnoff for me. Sorry to say that although a lot of holes are very attractive on the surface, and the design is very unique,it falls somewhat short of a lot of your other designs.

As usual, you have created a masterpiece. This course is both challenging and gorgeous. It makes me think carefully about every shot, from the tee box to the cup. Black Rock GC is a keeper! Thank you and keep up the good work.
