Fascinating course and a very good design. A tough one, I began my round well but soon got 'found out'.. no easy holes at all here, with the real difficulty being on approach shots (pin placements very tricky at times). Didn't have a fave hole until nearing the end (the whole course was impressive), when I arrived at the 17th. One word, wow! Another Pete Dye corker! Very nice design on this, seems to capture the essence of the real thing very well, and it's one tough beastie - lots of fun. Cheers!

After just finishing playing the Straits course, needless to say that you are not going to see... the sea !
Nevertheless, this links course is a pleasant surprise and deserves to be played. Water comes into play on a lot of holes, and quite a few doglegs with big & wide bunkers (6th & 11th holes for example) will test your shot abilities.
The golfer's nightmare comes on no. 13, a par-3 hole with a blind tee shot. But, with an 8-iron, you can hit the green below nicely. The last 2 holes are also challenging in their own ways.
Overall, a nice course probably overlooked by its more famous countepart but well-done by B. Ballard.

Just played this course - good test of golf due to it`s length and loved the challenge on the greens - lots of sand to play in as well. Very nice!

I was not very pleased with that course when I saw the first hole but after playing several holes, it began to be better and better. At the end, we have a very nice course.
I think it misses a bit of decoration for the few first holes and it also needs a bit of smoothing to get rid of the angles we can find around the greens.
Keep going :)
