This course has a lot of trees, plenty of water hazards and a few risk/reward holes where cutting corners might not be the best idea... unless you want to get in trouble ! Water comes into play on the first four holes, with the first three being nice : the par-4 1st, with a lake in the middle of two fairways, the par-3 2nd, where the green is at the end of an elongated lake, and the risk/reward par-4 3rd hole, slightly to the right, with a peninsula green, only about 300 yards away... After the nice par-4 6th hole, with a stream across and running to the left of the fairway, you will reach the two most beautiful and toughest holes on the front 9 : the left dogleg par-5 8th, with a downhill tee shot, bushes in the middle of the fairway and an island green (with two big bunkers in front), and the short right dogleg par-4 9th hole (about 300 yards) with a tree-lined fairway, a lake on the right side and a nice colonial-style clubhouse, partially hidden near the green. The back 9 has some tough holes too, starting with the par-3 11th, with a narrow tree-lined fairway and a lake right behind the green, the left dogleg par-4 12th hole, with water on the left side and near the green, and a nice little bridge near the tee box. The right dogleg par-4 13th hole, with the lake on the left side and trees at the corner is quite short (about 330 yards) but tough, just like teeing off from the par-4 15th hole, where big branches are in the way, "forcing" you to hit more to the left while the fairway, next to the lake, is on the right side. The last three holes are quite nice too : the par-3 16th, slightly downhill, looks like the 2nd hole, with the green, again at the end of an elongated lake, the right dogleg par-5 17th is another risk/reward hole, quite short, with bushes midway through and water near the green, and the par-4 18th hole is very picturesque, with a big lake on the left (and 2 beautiful small bridges and a small island in the middle), and the clubhouse, further to the right side of the green. Overall, even though this course is rather short, this par 72 is quite challenging with plenty of potential trouble on a lot of holes and is well designed by Smiling Goats who, unfortunately, did not design too many courses...

When I finished my round here I went looking for more Smiling Goats courses but alas, this is the only one in TW08 - solo, that is. There's a collaboration with Homeboy, so guess where I'm going next? And if that one is only HALF as good as this, it'll still be a beauty. Lots of features packed into this - absolutely marvellous...

Yep, this is a well designed course. Not a lot of things to say except it's a perfect course or at least not far from perfection. I also thank you for the tutorials :)

Fantastic course Goats. Reminds me of Sawgrass but is more challenging. My ball stayed clean, as it received a bath quit often. No lag what so ever. Instant classic, thanks guy.

This course has 83,000 points which is far less than most of the other youll play. It does have quite a few trees though...if you experiencing lag, you should try to turn down your tree related video settings.
I will say that I get no lag whatsoever and my system is ancient...128mg video card...yadda yadda. If I can run it, anyone should be able to...just try adjusting your settings.
