A very nice course, with a serpentine river (rather than a creek !) as the main attraction and over (or around) which you will have to hit plenty of second shots to reach the wide greens, such as on the short par-4 1st hole or the short par-3 2nd (less than 130 yards) with a tee shot, again over the water. On the straight par-5 4th hole and its undulated and sloped fairway, you will have a tough decision to make on your second shot if you want to reach the green (with the river crossing it in front), unlike on the left dogleg par-5 5th where, despite deep rough splitting the fairway, midway in the corner, you should be able to reach the green on your second shot, even with a small ditch splitting the fairway, not too far from it. Two left dogleg par-4 holes follow : the 6th is uphill all the way, with trees all along (on the left), a big lake, midway (on the right), and with an approach over a big rock across the fairway, whereas the 7th has a small hilltop midway (on the left) and a downhill green, with the river flowing past (on the right). As for the last two straight holes (par-4 8th, par-3 9th), I prefer the first one with a tee shot over the river, crossing the sloped fairway, midway, and an uphill approach to the green. The back 9 starts very nicely with another straight par-3 hole over the river but, this time, downward to the green, and is followed by the straight par-4 11th, with a blind and uphill tee shot landing down the sloped fairway and another approach over the river (crossing the fairway right in front of the green), and the par-4 12th, with another blind and uphill tee shot, with the river, splitting the fairway diagonally, leaving you with a tough second shot toward the green. The next four holes are doglegs (right par-5 13th, left par-4 14th, right par-5 15th, with a downhill tee shot landing onto an undulated fairway and an elevated green, hard to reach on your second shot - especially with a couple of trees in the way, and left par-4 16th). The last two holes are very pretty : on the par-3 17th, you will need to hit a blind tee shot downward to the green, over the river, splitting the fairway midway and branching out all along (on the right), before finishing with the scenic left dogleg par-4 18th, with an uphill tee shot and a testy approach over the winding river to reach the green on the other bank. With nice plantings and beautiful bridges to gaze at, this par 72 is quite fun to play but take your time before hitting your shots (unlike krbushee who seemed to have been scared to death running out of the woods - or so it seemed ! - looking at the above illustrating picture !).

This is an OMG course! It's so well designed it looks like a real course and a very good one. There is not any hole which looks like another. You need to aim precisely and use your head before taking your shot.
It's a 5 stars course!
