Unsurprisingly, this course is another gorgeous one from BGravolicious, with a beautiful hilly panorama (and lakes), plenty of elevation, some rocky terrain and undulating fairways, with plenty of weeds, deep rough and a few trees and bushes round. Right off the bat, the right dogleg par-4 1st hole will show you what you will be facing, most of the time : a blind and downhill tee shot overlooking the valley and a steeply-elevated green, surrounded by bunkers. Then, after the straight par-5 2nd hole, with a very undulating fairway and a green with a small mound halfway around, you will reach the nice left dogleg par-4 3rd, with a blind and steeply-downhill tee shot, with small rocky hills on the sides and another steeply-elevated green, before heading for the straight par-4 4th hole, with a slanted and undulating fairway, downhill all the way to the green (and another gorgeous view of the valley below). The spectacular par-3 5th hole is one of my favorites, with a blind downhill tee shot over a lake in a half-moon shape around the green (on the right), set on a rocky plateau, with weeds around the edge, and is followed by two completely different holes... The par-4 6th is a short (about 320 yards) left dogleg, with another blind and downhill tee shot, with a wide lake on the left and a small patch of weeds in front of the undulating green, whereas the par-5 7th hole is very long (about 645 yards) with a blind tee shot, an undulating fairway, winding to the right, then to the left, and a downhill slope, two-thirds of the way, filled with more weeds all over in front of the green. Finally, if the par-3 8th hole needs a blind and downhill tee shot to fly over a zigzagging path and a few bushes, the right dogleg par-4 9th will require you to hit a blind approach shot to the green over the heavily-sloped fairway on the right in order to reach the green, hidden below. After a “gentle” par-4 10th hole, with a slightly-downhill tee shot and an elevated green, you will reach the cute par-3 11th, with a green, partially hidden by trees on the right before heading for two more of my favorite holes... The par-5 12th is a right dogleg, with a blind and long second shot to the elevated green, with plenty of weeds, bordered by rocky terrain in front and on both sides of the green. Then, after the par-4 13th hole, downhill all the way to the green, with a few bunkers on both sides of the fairway nearby, the scenic right dogleg par-4 14th awaits you, with a blind (and downhill) tee shot and a wide lake on the right halfway (with four bunkers on the left, making the fairway quite narrow), ending behind the green, and more patches of weeds and rough in front of the green ! On the par-5 15th hole, you will face a very tricky challenge, with a high rocky “wall” halfway across the fairway, leaving you with no choice but to lay up, before trying to hit your blind second shot over it (not an easy task either...) and discover a big downhill slope all the way to the green (with a wide lake behind) that you should (hopefully) reach on your third shot. The nice left dogleg par-4 16th hole follows with a blind and uphill tee shot over part of a lake and some more weeds, landing down onto an undulating fairway, and an approach shot over a small mound, down to the green, surrounded halfway by a few bushes. Then, after “enjoying” the view over the lake on your tee shot on the par-3 17th hole, you will finish with the left dogleg par-4 18th, downhill all the way to the green (with patches of high grass in the middle of the fairway), partially hidden by bushes on a small mound in front. As expected, downloading one (or more) courses from BGravolicious is a pure delight and this par 72 is no exception, combining breathtaking landscape with very challenging holes. Needless to say, this one is a definite keeper... just like the other 9 courses I have played from this (very) talented designer !

Well, I like elevation, and I like fair courses, and this one is fair, but I'll be damned if I can score on it at all! A great course, challenges you if you try to lay up or if you go for it - I tend to go for it,and it smacks me right in the face! But when I do lay up...it smacks me right in the face... :-) Great job, BGravolicious, just another of your wonderful courses. Thanks.
