7 out of 7 ! This is the 7th fantasy course that I have been playing from BGravolicious and this par 72 is another masterpiece... Not only the landscape looks gorgeous, with small mountains as a backdrop and beautiful plantings, but the course offers a lot of variety, with some rollercoaster fairways, sharp doglegs, water hazards, well-placed bunkers and plenty of high rough. Right off the bat, the first two (very nice) dogleg par-4 holes set the tone with a big lake on the right and high rough all around the fairways. The par-3 3rd hole, while not overly difficult, is quite scenic with its big island green and two small bridges and small rock formations around, along with some nice bushes and flowers. After an uphill tee shot from the tee of the par-5 4th hole, you will have a tough time reaching the green on your second shot as it is set on a small rocky mound, more than 260 yards away, in sharp contrast with the left dogleg par-4 5th hole, quite short (315 yards) but tough too, with a blind approach shot to the downhill green. After the right dogleg par-4 6th hole, quite pretty with a nice wooden house on top of a small hill on the right side, and high rough in the middle of the fairway, the par-5 7th hole, pretty straight, is quite tricky as you will have to choose the right club if you don't want to end up in the creek that runs across the fairway twice... I also like the par-4 8th hole, with its small island fairway where, hopefully, your tee shot will land, but the real green is still more than 160 yards away with plenty of deep rough in between. The back 9 starts with a par-4 10th hole, pretty straight but with a blind tee shot to a downhill slope all the way to the green and high rough, left and right, and is followed by the picturesque par-4 12th hole, with high rough at the bottom of a large rock formation on the right side of the fairway. The scenery changes again on the tough par-5 13th hole where, after a blind tee shot, you will see a large rock formation on the left side of the fairway and where you will have a tough time reaching the green, guarded by more rocks in a horseshoe shape. As for the right dogleg par-4 14th hole, it is quite "fun" with two blind shots, uphill then downhill to the green. The last three holes are nice too : the par-4 16th, pretty straight with a tiered fairway, the par-4 17th, with two uphill shots and deep rough in between and all around the green, and the superb par-5 18th hole, slightly to the right, with an uphill tee shot, big rocks down on the left side halfway through, and a very tough approach shot where you might have to lay off in front of the creek crossing the fairway if you want to reach the island green, parrtially hidden by trees... Gardenia may be a fantasy course but it looks very realistic and it will keep you on your toes all the way until the 18th green. And if you can avoid all those bushes and very high rough, you will have a great time playing at Gardenia, thanks to BGravolicious's designing talent !

I knew I was going to like this course when I got into deep doodoo from the first tee! Nothing like a challenge, they say, but it helps when it's also a great-looking challenge. No wonder it's named after the flower...

I know this course has been out there a while, but it is worth a DL. It is one of the finest fantasy courses on this site. If it were real, it would fit nicely along the front range in Colorado, and I would seek it out to play. IMHO this is the baseline in fantasy courses when one attempts to make one seem real. Congratulations BG... one of your best!

I have a problrm with this course in the game. I have a blank icon and when I click where the game icon should be, it says missing text file and make sure you have course cd in your drive. I have installed approximately 70 other courses and do not have this problem with any of them accept Augusta 2008. Thank You
