Another beautiful and quite challenging course from barrylb37, with nice mountains and a wide lake to gaze at, plenty of steep elevations, nice wide-open views, undulating and/or sloped fairways, and with plenty of scattered weed rough areas and greens, often guarded by small (and deep) bunkers. This par 72 starts with the gorgeous right dogleg par-4 1st hole, along the lake on the left, with two steep and blind shots, downhill from the tee box (above some trees), and uphill to reach the green, before moving above with the left dogleg par-4 2nd, downhill all the way, with more weed rough on the left slope. Then, after the pretty par-3 3rd hole, with a tee shot over an elongated lake and a tiny green, with a bunker on both sides, you will face two very challenging par-5 holes in a row, both with winding and undulating fairways and blind second shots : the 4th hole is steeply uphill all the way, with a green, slightly to the left, whereas the slightly-longer left dogleg 5th has a big slope... downward to the hidden green ("technically" reachable with a very lucky and long 2nd shot), guarded by two small bunkers in front. After the “easier” par-4 6th hole, with a tee shot over a small mound (not far from the tee box on the right), and an uphill approach to the elevated green (with three deep bunkers in front), and the right dogleg par-4 7th, with an uphill tee shot, you will reach the right dogleg par-4 8th hole, with a blind and uphill tee shot landing onto an undulating fairway and a green, with a small pond on the left, before finishing with the par-3 9th, and its sloped green, surrounded halfway (above and below) by weed rough. Another spectacular panoramic view of the mountains and the lake awaits you as you hit your blind tee shot on the long (almost 600 yards) right dogleg par-5 10th hole, followed by another long approach shot over big areas of weed rough toward the green, set near the edge of the lake. Then, after the short (around 350 yards) par-4 11th hole, along the lake on the right, you will move on to the pretty, but shorter and tougher, right dogleg par-4 12th, with its undulating and sloped fairway and its downhill green, again very close to the lake. The left dogleg par-4 13th hole, on another hand, is more inland and set further above the lake on the right, and is followed by the par-3 14th, with a small pond and trees on the right of the green. You will then head for the long par-5 15th hole, with another winding and slightly-uphill fairway and a green on the left, very risky to reach on your second shot with a big mound filled with weed rough (on the left) and a few trees and bunkers in the corner. Finally, after the right dogleg par-4 16th hole, and its slightly-uphill tee shot followed by a downhill approach to the undulating green (with a small lake behind), and the par-3 17th, where you will need to hit your blind tee shot over that same lake to reach the green, you will end your round on a “high” note with the left dogleg par-4 18th hole, quite picturesque with that small lake on the right and its blind approach shot toward the... very steeply-elevated green, with plenty of weed rough around ! Overall, this Depoe Bay fantasy course, looking quite realistic, is very enjoyable and one of barrylb37's best, combining beauty with toughness and if you like challenges, you will be in for a treat...

Excellent design and a brilliant course, this is one classy creation. It's a varied and challenging track, plays very fair and happily rewards good golf. I too suffered some lag between holes, but nothing bothersome, and it played smoothly in between.. however a bigger bear for me was it crashed twice during my round. Not sure what the problem was, or if just my rig, as no one else has mentioned. Anyway despite that I really enjoyed the course - it's a really great layout and looks beaut. Kudos to Barry (and Homeboy too), cheers!
