A very enjoyable course, pretty to look at and quite challenging with undulated fairways, water hazards, slight elevation changes and with a few tough undulated greens to deal with. On the front 9, my favorite holes are the dogleg par-4 1st, around a wide lake (on the left), the pretty par-3 2nd, with a small lake near the green (on the right) and a huge lake behind (with a beautiful bridge across), and the dogleg left par-4 3rd, with trees in the inner corner of a lake, hiding the view of the downhill and sloped green. But the most beautiful and challenging hole is the dogleg right par-5 4th, with a tee shot over water landing onto a peninsula fairway (with trees in the corner, on the right) and a second shot along the lake again to reach the small green. Then, after a couple of “easier” holes (straight and short par-4 5th, doglegs right par-4 6th and 7th), the par-3 8th is quite nice with, again, the wide lake and the long bridge behind the green. You will start your way back, with the pretty but very tough dogleg right par-5 10th hole, with trees on the edge of the lake (in front, midway), forcing you to hit your tee shot to the left before aiming your long second shot toward the peninsula green, before walking over to the dogleg par-4 11th, bending very sharply around a wide lake (on the right), with trees hiding the fairway, making your tee shot quite adventurous if you want to hit it over them to shorten the distance to the elevated green. Fortunately, the next few holes are less difficult if you can avoid the strategically-placed bunkers, spread along the fairways, left and right (nice par-3 12th, with an elevated green, surrounded by small bunkers in front, straight and slightly downhill par-4 13th, quite short - around 330 yards) or the hidden small pond across the fairway, midway and only.. visible after you hit your blind and downhill tee shot on the triky par-4 14th hole. As for the last par-5 hole, the 17th, you should be able to get an eagle opportunity as the fairway is quite wide and the green is reachable on your second shot if you can avoid the big elongated bunker (on the right). With its nice plantings, small houses and its big lakes, this Major Thriven's Golf & Country Club plays very smoothly and was one of M.G.A. Hover’s best fantasy courses, way back in... September 2007, when it was released !

Very nice course, I enjoyed it. This is a very difficult course because fairway are narrow and greens are not quite flat ^^ Aha!
Must Try course.

I think its a pretty fun course, after you play it the first time you know where (or try to) hit the greens and some of the fairways... we play it dry and breezy on alt shot...we get buzzed and have a blast...great job in my opinion.

The greens vary. If you play the right approach shot, they can all be birdied or parred. But it does need some figuring out to find the right shot.On my last test run I played a -3 with just the one bogey, which was neither on the 3rd nor the 4th. Who said it had to be easy? )

the course looks nice and i did manage to get through the 3 green but i think the fourth is even worse i dont mind tricky greens but with those greens it was just pure luck if your ball went in the hole i gave up in fustration. do they get better or worse?

Very nice looking and laid out course and plays very smoothly. I dont care for the tricked up greens though. I though I would never finish the 3rd hole.
